The plasma pistol should not track if you boot after the charge is fired. It drains your shields completely, there needs to be some sort of balance.
The window in which you would have to react is so fast that it would only make sense for it not to follow you after you boost.
You might be boosting too fast. Wait for the charged shot to get about halfway the distance to you and then boost off quick to the side. It could miss that way because it can’t track sharp turns. Or just boost into cover so they can’t combo you.
This is still a thing ?? Honestly i rarely see people doing this in warzone or arena nowadays

from mid range it will hit you unless you are behind something.
