Noob can't figure out loadouts

So I buy Jetpack, or a gun… doesn’t matter.
It says it is equipped in Loadout 1

I go into a game…jetpack/gun are not in loadout 1 or any other loadout, the loadouts are still the same defaults they always were.

So HOW do I get loadouts to actually do something?

Oh, I did check the Faq…no I did not switch controllers, no I did not re-download the profile.

Two people on two accounts over several days…we can’t figure this out

Not all playlists/gametypes have personal loadouts enabled.

Try out something like Infinity Slayer if you want to use your personal loadouts.
