What part of quality trumps quantity do you not get? The streamers whose opinions your regurgitating aren’t playing this game because it’s broken.
Do you see Dr. Disrespect playing Halo? Or Summit? No. Because they don’t like it and you know 343 has to do to get them playing? Fix the game.
Until that happens those “big names” won’t be playing. It’s got nothing to do with being behind the times. It’s the fact that 343 didn’t plan correctly to meet their deadlines.
Um…The very fact you bring up summit and don’t know why they’re not playing says it all.
Summit literally goes on rants about how the game is unplayable on Mouse and Keyboard. That is the biggest problem.
Modern Warfare is the only good Call of Duty, however to say Vanguard is worse than Halo Infinite is objectively wrong and stupid.
Vanguard is a complete and working game. Infinite is neither of those things so whilst you might prefer Infinite, saying Vanguard is worse is simply incorrect.
For the record, I didn’t buy or play Vanguard but I know a feature complete and reasonably fun game when I see one. Infinite is barely that either.

If you legit think that than congrats you’re wrong loads of issues caused the bad state of the game and the community isn’t one of them
I can easily list a lot of issues before i can start blaming the community
Relying on basically nothing but a revolving door of contract workers
Having dysync issues for months MONTHS
Taking NEARLY A YEAR and barely got any substantial content updates
Lying(eg saying there wouldn’t be any fomo and the games customization would be player first and look at that the store doesn’t list everything you coud buy and reeks of fomo)
Showing content and not releasing it looking at you cqb
Having no xp system outside of challenges
Btb being unplayable for a good while
Being placed into server regions outside of yours while playing solo due to the game’s sbmm putting you there
The coating system being limiting
Fans being called moochers of reach
The constant crashing
The fact that some vehicles hp were basically paper and blew up when only get shot at a few times from non power weapons (looking at you banshee)
This is how I know most Halo players are so out of touch.
The only REAL problem this game has at it’s core is desync and lack of content.
But that isn’t why the game is dead.
Watching FPS being played on slow turn controller with obvious aim assist is not really the pinnacle of E-sport entertainment.
And when you look at most popular streamers they are mostly PC orientated as is their viewers.

Isn’t this also the reason many streamers were like “Halo needs a BR to survive!”
Cause they know BRs keep viewers around.
It’s why those games can slap you on like 1-2 large maps and call it a day. All those random aspects makes even playing on the same map results in wildly different games.
It’s why the BR has become the biggest sub-genre;
It obliterated the skill floor, making it super easy for even bad players to feel good or get kills
Randomness reduces the impact of skill for most of the match and can even affect the end
The randomness and chaos is what modern audiences really like (you see it in other forms of media too) rather than controlled and measured competition
Basically Halo is an-old school idea in a new-school world.
I can sit down and watch a championship NASCAR event and still find that boring. Just because it’s pro doesnt mean something cant be boring to some people. But yeah, I’ve watched pro games and they are boring. But then again, I don’t consider eSports actual sports, so there’s that.

Also its better to have more controller options be it mouse and keyboard, the playstation controllers, the xbox controllers hell even the guitar hero controller if someone enjoys playing with those controllers on pc i say let them thats one of the many perks of pc gaming
also while on the topic of support every console game should allow keyboard and mouse support if it has a pc port

Because the year is 2022 and if the game isn’t focused on the PC ecosystem the game is going to die,. Appealing to casuals on a casual platform is not going to help your game in the current industry
