Does anyone know how to unlock to Locus or Deadeye helmets besides the pre-order codes? Locus is still the coolest helmet that i’ve seen and since I live in the U.S. I couldn’t get it, I’m wondering if there’s any news on how people who didn’t pre-order it can unlock it?
I got the locus helmet through the 7-11 promotional smart phone app “Halo 4 King of the Hill”. Don’t know about the other helmet though…
Or is there no way to get it if you lived in the U.S.?

I tried that, unfortunately there are no 7-11’s anywhere near where I live, and I don’t have a jailbroken iPhone or an android.
That’s the only thing I’ve seen then, unless someone will trade codes with you
The Locus helmet is my favorite helmet in the game. I’m very upset that it is locked from me.
I asked a friend of a friend if the Locus helmet is the Skin or the helmet, and he said it’s the helmet. (Even though 343i said no armor would be locked away from preorder retailers…)
Hopefully I can buy it later with Microsoft Points or something, and I assure you, I would pay on Day1 for that -Yoink!- helmet.
I hope we don’t have to pay for it (if it becomes available) just because we live in the U.S. People who already got it didn’t have to pay any extra for it.

Because that would totally make sense for Microsoft, to give away stuff for free. It’ll be on the Marketplace later with a price tag obviously. When later is, no one knows yet. 343 said they would appeal to those collector types, like myself, and have the other pre-orders up.
Until then you can always try to find someone willing to trade codes at the station.

I know that feel, man. Really want it, but it’s impossible where I live.

Except I don’t have any codes left, I used all of mine. And they closed the trading station.
iI believe your only option may be to trade at the moment, sorrry bout that 
I have codes to trade, but it’s tough trying to trade nowadays.
