Non-Ordinance Drop Games

Just gametypes that have weapon spawns? I like the Ordinance Drop system but are thre going to be normal weapon spawn gametypes?

Im more than sure there will be. At the very least, there will be a classic playlist.

I hope there will be. Something like this would be perfect:

  • No ordinance drops, regular weapon spawns
  • No loadouts/fixed loadout list
  • No modifications
  • Halo 4 physics. Don’t want it to be too classic
  • Classic/competitive version of every playlist

We don’t know, OP. We don’t know.

Set ordinance drops (AKA regular weapons spawns but with big splodey -Yoink-) would be alright. I’m sure there’ll be that.

I don’t actually want a Classic playlist anymore! H4 is looking to be the best Halo ever made IMO. But if 343 make a Classic playist it means they’ve failed… It means we don’t want to play the new game but rather the old stuff so I’m really hoping for no Classic playlist this time around!

I can get past most of the new additions, but the grenades are as powerful as Nexy said, and ordinance drops are everywhere, I’ll be disappointed.

double post :frowning:

What is this, I don’t even…

You know you wouldn’t have to play it right? More options the better. I’m thinking as long as there’s a playlist with no ordinance drops but set power weapons on map then that’s perfect. And the return of overshield/camo on map as a power-up like in H3.

Like I said I don’t want it to be too classic. Just competitive playlist with equal starts where skill matters, not the time you’ve already spent earning spartan points. And I hope there will be these playlists. Otherwise, MP would be ruined for me.

Edit: and I don’t think that ordinance drops are bad. But diversity is always better.

Yes there is going to be a seperate gametype with no ordinace drops. Infinity Slayer is the one with drops and they have just Slayer with no drops.

Regular Slayer:
-Score is based on kills (I think)
-Weapons spawn on set locations but where they’ll appear is random (ex: sniper spawns at red base while rocket launcher spawns at blue base, next time they spawn they might switch sides.) Plus instead of magically appearing like in previous games they’ll come in as an ordinance drop that has the chance of killing a player that’s to close the impact zone.
Infinity Slayer
-Score is based on points earn assassinations>headshots>normal kills>assists… etc
-Weapons spawn by you filling a meter with points you earn and once it’s filled you can choose one of two power weapons or a “perk” (faster movement/reload, better health, more damage… etc, but they also have a visual indicator similar to how you left a fire trail in Reach when you had an overshield)and it will come in as an ordinance drop at a location near you. But the catch is it also has an indicator so nearby opponents can see what has spawned and they have the chance to beat/kill you to it.
In the end, what you heard was just a new mode. They still have regular slayer.

As with previous Halo installments, I believe the main playlist everyone will remember Halo 4 for will be Team Slayer at the very top, and it will have all the goodies that the game has to offer. AA’s, weapon drops, etc.

And I’m fine by hearing that.
