Is BTB such an afterthought in Halo 5 that all of the maps meant for it are left up to the community to make? Don’t misunderstand, there’s some good original maps and excellent remakes/re-imaginings, but nothing gets me quite like an actual dev-made map with real assets and manpower behind them. There needs to be at least five of them in the game at this point and we still have zero.

Perhaps we will get it in the wff update.
343 is in the money making business (aren’t we all). Warzone is where the big bucks are. BTB drives people away from warzone. Therefore BTB causes 343 to lose money. 343 doesn’t want to lose money. Therefore 343 doesn’t make BTB maps the community makes BTB maps.
Either way, I think some of the old BTB maps from previous halo titles don’t fit very well with Halo 5’s mechanics. There are some BTB maps that do work very well in terms of balanced and appropriate respawn, balanced amount of space, amount of cover, optimized choices of power weapons and vehicles.

Agreed, they should release a map pack strictly for real BTB maps.
I honestly think that every single halo 4 BTB map would be great editions to the halo 5 roster

Ya they should bring back exile
I don’t mind community created maps at all. The respawns are awful on slyer games with the enemy randomly spawning next to you. But I agree new 343 created maps would be awesome.
The game needs them desperately.
