Non-DLC stuff in limited edition worthwhile?

I was on the fence about 50-50 trying to decide between regular and the limited versions for a long time; maybe leaning a bit towards limited edition since I do enjoy the map packs released for halo. And if I were going to get the maps anyway, they’d make up most of the price difference between regular and limited. But now having seen how 343 likes to handle DLC content in their playlists (making it more or less impossible to play the maps), it feels like the halo 4 map packs will have much less value than I originally thought they would. So, is there anything close to $30 worth of non-map pack stuff included in the limited edition?

90 minute Forward Unto Dawn download code, special weapon skins and armor, schematics on the UNSC Infinity.

Depends on how much you think those are worth.

He’s right. It just depends on how bad you want it.

Honestly Cow… not really. Armor skin, AR skin, and 1 special emblem only for in game items, and 90 minutes of a video that’s going to be up on youtube anyway, not to mention the number of physical stuff that doesn’t matter that much to begin with and will probably end up on the internet for everyone to see anyway. You also get a useless prop and armor set for your avatar.

Just get the regular edition, but buy the first map pack when it comes out. Think of it as a test to see how 343 handles their DLC content and support people who own it. If they handle it well enough, then get the rest of the maps. You’ll hardly be missing out on anything if the other stuff isn’t your thing.

Thanks! Though I had heard some stuff about some forward unto dawn stuff not being a download but just something you can watch on waypoint?

Weapon/armor skins probably not too interested in. Most of the time I don’t see my own spartan so it’s better for other people to have the cool looking armor and things. And schematics sound like they’d be the kind of thing I’d look at once, for at most 5 minutes and then put them someplace and promptly forget where they were, so those would not be worth a ton.

That makes the choice pretty easy.

you guys forgot the early access to 6 specializations.

It isn’t worth it.

Eh, 6 specializations, if the game is as good as it’s supposed to be, then you might be better off just earning those as something to do before the next game comes out.

And yeah, it’s just a video you can stream off of Waypoint, not an actual disc

There’s also some feelies.

All I need is that Forest Armor skin from Gamestop and I’m set I don’t need nothing else.

I’m scared to ask what ‘feelies’ are, though I am going to assume you mean the physical stuff you can touch.

You can touch my feelie

OT: It depends how much you like the physical stuff. If you’re not interested in the skins and don’t really care about the physical bonuses (including the awesome-looking case) and the early access to specializations, then it would be cheaper to get the normal edition and buy the map pack seperately.

All I want is the
Maps
Speculations

As for the
