Here’s me thinking the other maps were bad, Noctus is awful in that regards, cross mapping “pros” sitting there with their longshot BR’s constantly taking pot shots at you, what is this?
Keep your head down.
You think that’s bad, my last match on Noctus we couldn’t step foot outside the garage without having 3 snipers compete to kill us!
Really? I love this map. I think it plays out well. Try using cover and positioning, it can be tricky cause it’s a very open map.

Sounds like a -Yoink- game.
BR? if you don’t have a DMR or a longshot at the very least, you might as well use a dinner bell as a loadout weapon because your only role in that game is going to be feeding kills to the other team.
yea idk the names of any map but my problem is the energy sword on smaller maps with running and dashing. You just have to not run out in the open and straif side to side. most of the tine you play against teams who are in the sam elobby and cimmunicating. if you are playing alone its literally impossible to beat them.
I don’t have the dmr and I do just fine on this map. It really is about positioning and knowing what ranges you can win at. Set yourself up for success.
And every other map in h5 is a pistol camo fest… So what’s your point?
I was never lucky enough for it to show up in any of my play throughs : (
Every map is a campfest, you just need to get creative. I normally outshoot people with BRs easy.
That’s like the only map the light rifle is good on.

I’ve only played 2 full games on Noctus. This accurately describes both of them.
Horrid map design, as there is no cover and only two real ways (I say real ways because the lower spire in the monument is a death trap) into the main mid point. Once REQ 3 is achieved it becomes a complete pot shot festival. We need more maps like Apex 7 and Stormbreak, not this or ARC.

Mongooses and scout Warthogs are only one req level and protect you while you are booking it across the map. Use that. Stop spawning in the same places too.
Again, wanna know why Big Team in Halo 2-Reach was fun and contained no cross-mapping? There were mechanics in place to stop it.
In Halo 2 the BR was just generally inaccurate at long range. In Halo 3 it was projectile-based hit registration. In Reach it was Bloom.
Halo 5 has none of these, bullets fly in pretty much a straight line from precision weapons so cross-mapping is rampant on large maps. BR needs a VERY slight spread increase or something.
Noctus is ranged combat hell. It favours those with powerful ranged weapons, even if you drop a half decent vehicle into the mix you quickly get shot to peices. I took a ghost into battle and got BR’d to death in seconds.

So very very true
Right because the rest of the WZ maps aren’t.
Oh wait.
Warzone takes place on very large maps. I’m terribly sorry that mid to long range precision guns happen to be pretty useful at their designated role. Warzone will NEVER be a CQB fest so stop complaining about it.
Congratulations, you have figured out that Battle of Noctus is a big open map that favors the use of long range weapons.
