Bosses used to be fun now they are forced especially on noctus spawning inside monument and in front of out base with instant recharging shields and being bullet proof in general they ruin noctus you can’t snipe and you can’t do vehicles now. The only 2 things noctus had going for it. Please fix bosses everbody liked it the way it was.
I agree, I really hate those Oni Hog soldiers and those mantises. And what’s up with that Grunt jockey that spawns inside Monument??
Yea I didn’t like the boss refresh but on the bright side I got tonnes of sniper kills with the sniper rifle and beam rifle while playing yesterday.
Yeah, aimbot ONI warthogs and mantises aren’t fun
I think 343 is actually trying to push out the casual people, almost as if they are being told to do so.

Of course they are, look at how WZFF sucks, look at how the Forge/Customs relationship sucks, there are no casual features in Halo 5 because all it is, is a cheap cash grab off of the competitive players.
Well i actually like the Warzone (Hear me out) becuase it reminded me of the original Firefight from ODST not having unlimited spawing but with only a certain time limit and having to just try your best not saying oh lets just kill stuff I like all the objectives

That’s because the pro team have them twiddled around their thumbs. Everything in Halo 5 has to be super competitive and difficult, because that’s what the pro team wants.
Don’t get me wrong, Halo 4 was far too casual-oriented with bad mechanics that prevented me, and many others, from enjoying it as a Halo game. But Halo 5? Halo 5 alienated everybody who is not a super competitive player. Halo 5 is very balanced and skill-based, sure, but it’s not what I would call just plain fun.
I’m going to have to agree with regards to noctus. It’s an absolute mess with the boss refresh. Don’t even try to use an air vehicle with all those bosses out or you’re done.
The boss refresh in general has been unkind to casual warzone players, but Noctus takes the cake
I agree when I play in Noctus it seems like the bosses are on the enemy team. A banshee boss shooting at me, then the freaking mantis, after that the Oni warthog shooting at you! Oh and don’t forget the grunt goblin with two Phantoms killing you when you try to go outside the monument. I loved Noctus it was my favorite map, now it’s one of my most hated map. I liked warzone before the boss refresh (except the warden)

That was definitely not my intention with the Refresh. Certain things skewed harder than expected. Some caused by bugs, others by assumptions. I have written a lot on these forums how Noctus was a more experimental refresh to see what people liked and didn’t like. I went a bit too far in some places. Warzone bosses as a whole are a bit too much on the tougher side right now.

Stop.
The pro team has little to no input on anything 343i does. If they did, 343i would be with MLG instead of ESL, we wouldn’t have radar in TA or the HCS, we would have social playlists, Overgrowth, Molten, Riptide, Torque, and Tyrant wouldn’t have been made, the HCS wouldn’t be on such low production quality, Spectator mode would be fixed, and Theater would be fixed.
Competitive players aren’t out to ruin Halo for casuals. 343i does not listen to even the pros competing in the HCS, as majority were complaining about the changes made to TA even though 343i invited them to a summit for feedback.

I guess I came off a bit too strongly, as I was venting my overall frustration with Halo 5 and its focus on competitive gaming rather than being a game that’s tailored to all types of gamers (like Halo 3). I know that the pro team has nothing to do with Warzone, I just get discouraged when a gamemode that’s meant to be social and relaxing like Warzone ends up being as sweaty as Arena, with even bigger defeats than those gametypes when you’re playing solo against a full team. Halo 5 is not the Halo game that I wanted, especially after the disappointing multiplayer in Halo 4. Halo 5 has a lot of potential, but I feel that a lot of it was not utilized properly, leaving us with a game that’s but a shell of what it could be.
That being said, none of that is the fault of you or the boss refresh, and I apologize if I came off as rude, obnoxious or insulting. Pointing the blame to the pro team (whom I know does not dictate what happens in Warzone, it was an immature comment to make out of an emotional response) was illogical at best. While I am not completely satisfied with the boss refresh on Noctus, I do thoroughly enjoy how the bosses were changed up overall, and I believe that it was one of the best parts of all of the Halo 5 updates so far. Warzone needed some variety, and the refresh gave it to us. I look forward to seeing what will come out of our feedback (even though some posts, like my last one, are overly aggressive sometimes) and the changes that will be made to the game. Warzone has been one of the best experience in Halo 5 so far, and the boss refresh made it even better. Although it’s a bit too much on the difficult side right now, I have faith that you guys are listening and will make it better. Keep up the good work!

You’re right, my comment was illogical and poorly worded. I was venting frustration, and it came out in a way that both made no sense and pointed the blame to people who have nothing to do with this particular topic. I do not believe what I said about the pro players ruining the experience for social players, the blame should not be on them. Overall, I think that their input helped created great base gameplay, an overall improvement over Halo 4. I apologize for my rashness, and I thank you for pointing out the flaws in what I said and pointing me to the truth.

No worries. It’s just whenever people blame the pro players or say it’s comp players who kill the game, it annoys me because we aren’t exactly being treated well either.
However, I do understand your frustration. Halo 5 is lacking in many areas in the social department.

You’re right, you have every reason to be as annoyed as the rest of us. Halo 5 seems to be trying to find a middle ground between social and competitive/pro players, and it ends up not really appealing to anybody. At least, that’s from my perspective. Past Halo games had different settings for the tournament side of things as well as regular play, I see no reason that Halo 5 could not go down the same route. I was not aware of how things were going on the pro end of things, I should have not have made assumptions.
The players, whether they be pro players or social players, are not to be blamed for 343i’s mistakes. We can only hope that things will be better in the future.

please speak for yourself.
i’m the complete opposite of a “super competitive player”,
but i’m playing H5 since Nov’ last year straight and i’m actually enjoying WZ, WZA and WZFF a lot.

Thanks for replying. I think the Mantis bosses are a bit much. Their shields come back way too quickly and it’s very hard to kill them because they’re tanky as well as the lack of cover for the vehicles. The boss in the Monument is another problem. I think if it spawned with less minions it would be better.
