Reminder that 343 somehow thought between…
>Hey lets have split screen and fun and allow people to be social and do something that’s as Halo as the warthog
Or
>le XD lol 60fps we cool now lol such high frames lol guys aren’t you impressed lol!
halo 5 is gonna drop population faster than 4 or Reach. And 343 did it. They chose stupid graphics and showing off useless crap nobody cares about and dropping something everyone loves.
Name one good thing about dropping split screen for frames? You can’t because halo is meant to be FUN not LE tech demo look how “smooth” it runs.
Like I don’t get it. I’m legit so confused to what ignorant people think people will like this. It’s not COD where split screen is not as big. It’s not a game that’s never had it.
This is an insult and I know halo 5 will die quick. You think people are gonna wanna play a game when they find out they can’t play games with their family n friends?
You think people are going to be fine with this trash move because of some -Yoink- -Yoink!- contest. 343 you failed. You could have won. You could have been good. But you chose graphics over fun…gross
What’s ignorant is that people think performance is only effected by graphical things.
and this is 2015. If a game isn’t 60 fps it’s doing something wrong.
Honestly I don’t care about split screen, never really liked it because it watered down the graphic, all the details got lost and the game just looked -Yoinked- up…
If I want to play with friends we either come together with our TVs and Xboxes’ or just do it over live, so that everyone has it’s own screen and can enjoy the game in it’s full beauty.
I don’t get why you guys all go here and flame about some features they don’t like or they don’t get in the full product and because this one and ONLY feature is missing they won’t buy the game… Man it’s not about one feature it’s about the package 343 makes out of those. If you don’t want to buy the game just because you can’t play split screen or because it has sprint or you need Xbox live gold for online co-op then you should just take some time and think about how this sounds to people not as one track minded… Just learn to experience the game as a whole and not just several features…
LMAO Do you seriously think Halo 5’s population will die out faster than 4’s because of a lack of 4-player splitscreen? That’s ridiculous, it really is. Most people who play Halo play online on their own TVs. The Halo 5 population will hardly be affected at all by the lack of 4-player splitscreen
Notice how I keep saying 4-player splitscreen? Because splitscreen is still in the game, but only for two players. Out of all the time I spend playing Halo online, it’s not often I see more than one guest. Hell, I hardly see any guests as it is. People may not like that you can no longer have 4 players on one TV (which would be awful anyway unless your TV is huge), but I assure you that Halo won’t be a failure because of this one little thing
I’m not gonna justify the loss of splitscreen, and I’ll
mention that Mario Kart 8 simply halves the framerate when you use it, but this thread is beyond dumb.
Dude, I buy games on PC over other devices if they are not 60fps. Heck even mobile is 60fps now. 60 frames is standard, I honestly feel like a game is lagging when it’s at 30fps, that’s the number one reason why I don’t play my 360 often now.
60fps will keep the many as splitscreen will keep the old, sorry OP but high frames has priority.
Heck who used has used 4player splitscreen since 2005 in the first place? 2 player is regular but 4 player is just ridiculous

> I care about 60 FPS because that can affect gameplay. 1080p is the one I could care less about.
I care more about resolution because I can actually see some difference, while past halo games were never 60fps and I nobody noticed that or thought it negatively affected gameplay.
If previous games were 30 (I think) make this 40 or 50 and it will be fine. The problem is that it’s all a performance show off and marketing thing.
I don’t understand what is so much better about playing with someone in the same room as you and playing with someone somewhere else but you can talk to them like they’re in the same room. The senses in which you are missing out on are smell, feel, seeing, and tasting. If you want to see them you can just snap skype and have them in the corner of your screen. So really, are you upset because you can’t taste your friends and play Halo at the same time anymore?

It’s funnier to play with a real person than a guy online. Like you invite someone to work on stuff, and during a pause you play at Halo one splitScreen. This is how I discovered Halo, by playing in split screen with a friend cause I hadn’t an Xbox. Also, you can play with your bro on the same console?..
But i couldn’t care less anyway, everything is going on full online… but I understand some people are upset. The split screen was the only big difference beetwen pc and console game. Now console are becoming more and more like low config pc.

I completely understand that the community wants an explanation on why one of the game’s features were taken out, and I discovered Halo through splitscreen as well. That being said, it’s 2015 and this is not that big of a deal. People should not be cancelling preorders because there is no splitscreen.
It takes a good 2 hours of gameplay to readjust back to 30 fps on Reach, so I’d say I do care about it. Though I understand some people are disappointed that the trademark ‘slumber parties’ are not possible anymore saying that Halo 5 will fail simply because of this is quite an overstatement (in my opinion, of course).

It is an overstatement but you know everyone has to find some reason to not support 343 nowadays.
