I know this is an old topic who thinks Noble 6 might still be alive and wouldn’t it be cool if we ran into him in Halo Infinite
he’s dead. he’s not in infinite. why does this have to be repeated over and over again?
I 100% believe with a shadow or doubt the six died on ready. And honestly I don’t think he should be revived in any capacity into the story. I already love him. No need to bring him back
I believe Bungie went on record saying Six was dead even way back when they were at the helm, but I know that 343i has, on multiple occasions, confirmed that Six was KIA (MIA Presumed KIA in lore due to lack of confirmation).
Besides, Six was something different to literally all of us. Trying to recapture that lightning in a bottle just isn’t likely to satisfy very many fans. People always remember their Noble Six (fair enough and obviously what Bungie intended), not the Noble Six (Default Reach Spartan).
Bringing Six back presents a similar problem to bringing Rookie back, except even moreso. Considering 343i and Matt Forbeck decided to outright kill Rook (in part) so they wouldn’t have to deal with counteracting player projections of him, I severely doubt they’d have any interest at all in taking the chance bringing Six back. At the end of the day, Six’s sacrifice is probably the single most impactful and defining moment of Reach. Bringing them back just does away with that without any guarantee of bringing anything better to the table.
I love Reach and all of Noble Team. But it’s seriously just best to let sleeping dogs lie on this.
I hope they learned their lesson from bringing Cortana back, and don’t bring back Noble 6.
Noble 6 was given a complete story arc, with an exceptional end of self sacrifice for the greater good. Getting to the end of of that game, and realizing that there was only one way Noble 6’s story was going to finish is one of the heaviest moments in the Halo series.
Undoing it down the road just so we can see Noble 6 on screen again would be such a huge hit to that memory.
After typing all that out, I just realized you could get around most of those issues with a flashback sequence. Like maybe Chief and Noble 6 met during a classified mission long ago, and we get to go through it as a memory or something.
I always like the idea that Noble 6 was me as a Spartan, I hope he stays dead just because I liked going out that way lol I do hope one day we do get another game like Reach where we get to play as a custom Spartan, it’s why I love Reach.
He’s dead. He’s not coming back and I think that’s how Bungie intended to keep him with 343 obliging.

343 literally locks threads over in the lore forum for suggestive Noble 6 is alive, because its a useless topic because he is dead.
Deal with it.
If he wasn’t somehow killed from being swarmed by high-ranking Elites, then the glassing definitely did
I never thought of Noble 6 being an actual character, it was just you, your armor, could be male or female, no name just Noble 6, and that is exactly what Bungie intended.

Here is a link to an earlier forum with a moderator confirming his death. I get it, I liked Spartan-B312 as well but respect the wishes of Bungie and leave the Spartan to rest. 343 is obliging. Plus in Halo Shadows of Reach, he was no where in sight, though Noble Team was loosely mentioned.

It doesn’t have to show the finishing blow. All you need to do to realise he is dead is factor in the wounds he sustained, the amount of Elite’s surrounding him, the fact that the planet was glassed save for a few spots, and the fact that even thirty years later he never resurfaced again after Reach was re-colonised.
Noble Six is dead, really end of story.
