Noble Six- a Lone Wolf, he died alone
Jun- A mysterious Sniper, he died mysteriously as it isn’t explained in the game.
I mean, when you think about it, its all very funny, that or I have a twisted mindset.

Jorge- Yeah, he got the short end of the straw 
Not ironic as far as the bomb goes though. He was the heavy weapons specialist and he set it off via remote detonation. Despite lack of character development, he had enough just to make you care that he died due to him acting more “human” than the other Spartans.
Kat- Agree with you here. Lack of situational awareness :/. Odd the Field Marshall only targeted her and not the other Spartans (who’s shields from the nearby emp shockwave temporarily disabled as well).
Carter- Agreed though he’s a Commander, not a Captain. 
Noble Six- It’s ironic because Carter tells him to ditch the lone wolf stuff and work as a team but at the end game, he/she is by themselves. Just thought i add that first part in to make it clear why it’s ironic but pretty much what you said.
Jun- Debatable, no one really knows if he died or not.
Emile- Ironic indeed for the CQC expert. He manages to die within his favored range via Sword to the chest.

Irony N. The expression of one’s meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
ok their deaths a sniper being sniped a ccq being gutted exc… yes bad luck, and kind of out of place, but they are not ironic because of most peoples misunderstanding of the word. ( I go in to this rant about once a semester in my college classes, cause every sense that dreadful song that is about irony but has no real description of irony, every body and their ant jamamma misuses the word now. )
So if Kat being a sniper was killed by the illusive snipe that all of us who went to boy scouts/ girl scouts/ 4H club, had to “Hunt” for it would be irony.
But being sniped is not because their is no double meaning in it. a different ec…
A guy walks up to a Girl and asks her " What do i have to do for your hand?"
the girl replies “Get to know me and then we can start dating”
so the guy gets to know her and dates her for about an year.
Then he asks her again " What do i have to do for you hand?"
she says “Buy a ring and ask me some place romantic.”
So he buys a ring takes her to this wonderful waterfall, gets on his Knee and asks.
“Can I have your hand?”
She responds “Yes i would love that”
then he asks “Right or left?”
she responds “Left silly”
he then takes out a knife and cuts off her left hand and puts it in a box.
THAT is IRONY double meaning of a word or statement and a play at our assumptions of what the speaker/person was implying.

Drives me bonkers, i was in a 300 lvl Phil class and most the people their where misusing that word, so for my presentation i did it “The Subjective Projections on Misunderstood/Misperceived Datum/Data and Changing of Reality into Illusion”
In other words some one who people think is smart or in the know, messes up but no one knows any better, then the Yonk up becomes the perceived Reality. But because Reality is not based on perception, but on constants that are proven the same over and over again, then it becomes an Illusion.
Illusion n. A false idea/belief that is projected as real/Reality
Reality N. The Universe/state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.

It’s probably not twisted. It takes an observant mind to see things that way. It may be reading to much into it, but not twisted. But if it were just coincidence that would make it all the more ironic. It would all depend on whether the situations were scripted that way intentionally by the developers, if so it adds that much more to the story of Noble Team, kind of like Japanese literature often does with it’s characters.
Good Post. They all died well. They were what Master Chief would have been if he fell.

also nothing happens by coincidence, in a scripted series of events. It was outlined, rough drafted and edited to death before being approved.
But if you think about it, most snipers, and recon units are taken out by anti sniping units ( AKA the other sides snipers ). CQC is over come by shear numbers, same with lone wolfs. Explosion experts killed by explosions ( Most the time trying to defuse, in place of plant. ) Leaders Through out history have been known to give their lives to allow their people to escape/finish an objective.
So the deaths well scripted and thought out, are in par with how most of the units with the same class of training meet their end. It is a great script and in fact really deep when you think about the philosophy behind it, and the emotions it installs in the viewer.
But again i must say that there is no “Irony” in it, due to the definition of irony, requiring a play on words or a double meaning.
Im not trying to troll, just trying in fact to help you understand the misuse of a word, so it does not make you look bad.
Its the same effect as putting “Extreme” on a bag of chips.

None of those things are irony. Irony is the OPPOSITE of what you expect.
It would be ironic if everyone on a ship died EXCEPT Carter.
It would be ironic if Noble Six died in the company of a whole bunch of other soldiers at the time, instead of just getting gang****ed by Elites.
That said, Jun is ironic. He’s supposed to be the one who chats the most, and ends up never saying anything substantial.

Jun is most certainly alive and well. Last we saw him was a little bit before the events of halo 5 and he is still fine and helping with the spartan 4s
