It’s why some of us fight for a black undersuit option.
Id love it if we had an option to have an undersuit about 5-7% darker than Pepper (which is a dark grey) independent of primary color.
Yeah, unfortunately the coloured undersuits pretty much ruin every armour. Still, at least the armour itself will look nice. What’s worse, having a boombox helmet (Seeker) with a tiny suit covered in graffiti alongside a coloured undersuit? Or some practical, gorgeous sets that are functional and look like walking tanks with a coloured undersuit?
I can’t comprehend how 343i has not yet understood that we want black undersuits though.

They tweeted about black undersuits back in 2014. However, as you can see, they ignored the request going into H5 from H4.
They even do model rendering with black undersuits.

But, that’s exactly what I want to look like…

No matter how I dress my Spartan it still won’t look like your spartan’s mother. So stop claiming it will. 
Instead of just a black undersuit option, I’d rather the undersuit be a tertiary color. There are situations where a colored undersuit looks really cool, as long as the color is different from your armor’s color. Thats why I wear locust and this scout variant.
I just wear black armor normally so I’m not as affected, but when I want to change my armor color I remember “right…coloured under suits are a thing…”
How hard would it be to change the undersuits to black?

They even told us in a tweet at some point saying “we’ve heard that you like black undersuits”, giving us hope that they would listen. Little do we know that they actually meant “we don’t give a damn that you like black undersuits, and just to spite you even more, Master Chief has a coloured undersuit now too. Here’s a big fat middle finger to all of our fans!”

Considering Beta promo renders have them, it makesmethink that they do everything with black undersuits, then just tack them on at the end.
Hell, look at the GameStop Hunter preorder preview. It’s got a black undersuit (with dark red secondary color.)
