Remember these variants have still to be used by Spartan-IV’s on-board the Infinity. So having a gaping hole in a variant isnt really practical when the user can wear a totally aright version that is not damaged and fully risk the user.
Still curious to why some Spartan-IV’s choose to use Mark VI(GEN1) Scarred like, but atlas they are still fully usable. And dont risk the user as much as a hole does.
