Noble Team had likable and memorable characters that actually meant something to us.We were sad when they died knowing that Reach was a little closer to falling with every Spartan cut down and that the survivors would have to fight that much harder.Blue Team, despite having loads of lore surrounding them, were very poorly characterized in Halo 5 as were Fireteam Osiris ( who here honestly cares about Tanaka and Vale ? ). I love Halo 5’s multiplayer component but the campaign really was a let down.Brain Reed let us all down and serious changes need to be made in Halo 6. Relying on multiplayer to sell Halo 5 was a mistake.Halo is a complete experience - story, map building, custom games, theater, firefight ect…Halo 5 didn’t deliver a great campaign due to the poorly executed Spartans and the disjointed story.
I’m a huge supporter of this franchise and have been since 2002 when I first played Halo CE so all of what I’m saying comes from the heart.I want Halo 6 to succeed and correct the story mistakes that it made and making the way the Spartans interact with each other more like Halo Reach is the first step IMO.
What do you all think about Halo 5’s campaign and how it treated the Spartan Teams.I know lots of people did enjoy Halo 5’s campaign and others, like myself, felt let down.o you think they’ll change how well the story is handled or will Halo 6 be another story catastrophe ?
LASTLY I made a small video about this subject if anyone wants to check out a 5 minute discussion on this topic - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed8nN9J53tw
Number of Blue Team alive: 4
Number of Osiris alive: 4
Number of Noble alive: 1
Scoreboard!
But seriously, you can’t tell me with a straight face that Noble was fleshed out. The closest they had to a nuanced character was the one they killed off first.

Not to nitpick but Jun is still alive last time I checked.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about him. And seemingly, so did the rest of the EU.
Halo 5 didn’t flesh out Blue Team much, sure. But Osiris wasn’t bad and I was satisfied with what we got, yet would have liked more. I certainly can say more about them than I can with most of Noble Team excluding Jorge. I still liked Noble, but compared to Osiris there wasn’t much.

First time I see you writing something you semi-liked about the campaing
Really should be juns memories of reach

yes I can and I would if we were face to face.Look at all the cutscenes with Noble team compared to the disjointed cutscenes and forgettable dialogue with Blue Team and Osiris…We didn’t have to pay for Noble Teams story development outside of the campaign yet we were asked to pay for Blue Teams with the Fall of Reach animated series…paying for necessary background information on who these characters are and were.Unacceptable.
Just because Noble Team was practically decimated doesn’t mean, from a story standpoint only, that they were worse than Blue Team or Osiris. They were likable, memorable and well written.
Osiris gave us no reason to root for them…they were flat and boring and I’m very surprised that people are still defending this shell of a campaign we got in Halo 5.
Multiplayer is very fun…the campaign was a bore and I’m someone who has completed every Halo game solo legendary…you hear their dialogue and story so many times ,due to the difficulty level and constant deaths associated with it,and it wasn’t well written or executed.
Reach was the reason Halo became crippled. Reach is the most pathetic and unsatisfying of all Halo’s. I am ashamed to say that I was very happy that Bungie left after that disaster. Noble Team is garbage. Blue Team all the way. BTW… I would pick Osiris over Noble.

Reach was the reason the competitive scene declined…absolutely can’t defend the competitive direction it took the franchise in…the story and casual aspects to this day still attract a large playerbase. If you’d pick Osiris over Noble then we really have nothing to discuss…your comment has nothing to discuss you’re just parroting what you’ve heard all over the forums for years.
Noble team was fleshed out? Hahaha good one. I’ll admit that Blue team wasn’t in game, but throughout the books they are some of the most fleshed out characters in the EU. Osiris sucks, and so does Noble. The only character that was good was Jorge and he was killed first. Every other character was bad and I was actually happy when Kat died because she was so annoying.

Halo 4 would like to argue with that first sentence. Noble would take a steaming dump on Osiris as well, what a joke.
Blue team in the books were cool. Osiris? I guess they’re fine. Blue team had 12 years of media attention to make a big impression, but I feel like Noble team did more in less time.
“Noble Team was fleshed out, likable, and memorable.”
Ha.

Well we know Kat didn’t pass drivers ed. And has a robot arm.
I agree. Halo Reach did a great job getting me to care about the characters. I like Blue Team because the Chief is there. I honestly don’t care at all about Osiris. Maybe Buck but not any of the others.

I don’t think that’s the memorable OP is talking about. But yes, we all remember Kat’s horrendous driving. When that Field Marshall shot that needle clean through her skull I could only say one thing:
“Thank you.”
all i could remember was Kat driving me off a cliff and Jun sniping me in the back

Jun sniped you in the back? When I played he was a mile behind me looking at the wall.
