Noble team armour locked behind achievements

There has been a lot of outcry for certain achievements and milestones in the game not rewarding players with anything. For instance, finishing the Campaign on legendary solo.
343 took a step in the direction of fixing this when they hid Achilles behind the kill commendations (whether that was a good or bad move is debatable).

How would you guys feel if rather than throwing Noble Team’s armour in to the REQ systems, they kept some of it locked behind certain achievements in the game, or commendations that don’t necessarily incentivise farming in warzone?
Just a thought.

I would like it, I miss getting things via Campaign or other achievements instead of random…

Depends on the achievements. On one hand, having specific unlock requirements could make the armor easier to get, which is a good thing. On the other hand, the achievements could be ridiculously difficult to get (If They Came To Hear Me Beg) and would make the armor no more accessible than any other. Personally, I hope they’re put into the REQ system but at a lower rarity so the average player actually stands a chance at unlocking them.

No…i prefer getting the armor through reqs.

Ah…the good ol’days armour behind achievements. That’s my preference, make hard achievements, not easy ones, and put armour behind it, put some prestige into the armour.

Makes no sense. We already have the best helmet and armour set (albeit a poor copy) available as a mere rare req.

This is the thing.
Personally I don’t think the Achilles body armour looks that great, but I’m sure as heck gonna wear it when I get it because of the prestige that has been attached to it.
Like when you unlokced the Security helmet in Halo 3 for getting 1000 gamerscore, armour becomes not only about personal taste, but showing of your prowess to other players.

I want to be able to wear an armour that says to other players that I achieved something, not just got lucky with my gold REQ pack.

Achilles Armour was a great idea for the Major Halo fans, something that’s a little bit special that you have to work hard for.

I wouldn’t have a problem with Armour behind Achievements.

I just want Jorge’s armor. I dont care how i get it.

I’d hate to have to play the campaign again on legendary. Squad mechanics have never been fun to me. I liked being the lone spartan in H:CE-4 and in Reach having other spartans with you still worked as it didn’t have bad AI and revive mechanics that slow the game down so much.

Well if they added the armour to Achievements already in the game, they it would be a bit borring for those who had already achieved them.
343 could add new Achievements to the game, like the Vidmasters of Halo 3.

Same bruv, hopefully the reach armour will be achievement based.

Not too fond of achievement armours, myself. Still hate that the H4 hid the basic armour all Spartan should have by default behind the Legendary achievement (I could understand if it was just the Chief’s personal version, but it wasn’t).

I like the idea of armour for ranks more or bought for Reqpoints. Make the Reach armour acquisition more Reach-like.

Of course it’s the way to go but it’s too late for that kind of change

Unlocking achievements for cool armour was what made a lot of us want to work hard to get because it was something we all had the chance at attempting and unlocking. I remember in Halo 3 I was so happy to unlock the Hayabusa armour because it looked amazing, and how I unlocked all of the original achievements to obtain the Security helmet and the Katana Sword on my back; like hello?! How cool is that?! Even the smallest yet difficult achievements like: Steppin’ Razor: Achieve a Triple Kill with an Energy Sword on Lone Wolves to unlock the Ascetic armour for your Elite. Even if you already unlocked them, we’d always have some people we’d know to help complete the achievements which was fun and made doing it again worthit. I’d rather unlock fantastic armour by completing achievements than have them become Ultra Rares and Legendaries for you to unlock later through the game after unlocking +200 pieces of armour and helmets etc.

No.
As long as the requirements dont make you play a certain mode.
So I can play warzone, or arena and work towards them all.
I’d be down for getting sniper commendation = jun.
Shotgun and assasination medals = Emile
Etc…

I would welcome it as long as its not due to grinding but due to actual skill (or luck).

If you finish Halo Reach campaign on legendary, you get the armor sets. IDK

They could put up achievements where you had to get so many kills with each noble members prefered weapon of choice

In example:
1000 kills with magnum, Kats armor
500 kills with shotty, Emiles armor
5000 kills with any turret, Georges armor
1500 kills with sniper, Juns armor

Just a little thing that isn’t too hard to achieve but you still have to work for. Also it wouldn’t have to be warzone restricted so arena players could rock some fine -Yoink- gear too

Either way I don’t car because I have almost everything unlocked and would get it almost immediately, but if I had to get an achievement it would be a lot of fun.
