As per the title this is just a theory after all but what if Noble Six is the Oni Spartan we has all seen in the picture that 343 released to us with the Master Chief at the bottom.
Do you this this is a possibility please discuss below?
I have not read any books etc so if there is proof Noble Six is dead please let me know because from playing Reach i am inclined to believe Noble Six is still alive as we never actually see a body.
Ohh has it okay then thanks there goes my theory out the window haha. I had seen posts confirming it was Male and not AI etc but nothing confirming the character was completely brand new, must have missed that part
The last thing we see is him, helmetless, surrounded by high-ranking Elites, one of which was in the process of stabbing him. His location is a completely deserted region surrounded by Covenant dropships mopping up any stragglers as the area is glassed… we can hear the glassing in the distance while playing Lone Wolf.
Besides the obvious implications of death there, both the Essential Visual Guide and Halo Encyclopedia list Noble Six’s date of death, August 30th, 2552.
For reference, Jun was not given a death date, which supports his survival.
> Besides that, Noble Six is 100% dead.

Okay I can understand this and see where you are coming from but still I am not convinced Noble Six is dead. Personally still haven’t seen a body so I still believe Noble Six is alive, perhaps captured and taken prisoner then maybe recused secretly by Oni at a later date. Then maybe has been experimented on since to create the latest Oni Spartan we see in the artwork just a theory as Noble Six is the closest record/skill wise to the Chief himself.
The Covenant aren’t known to take prisoners. That was a kill team. Notice the dozens of Spartan bodies lying around the map. What would make Six any different?
We have confirmed dates of death in two official reference books.

To add to what JSA has been saying, there wouldn’t even be anything left of Noble Six to see, considering his body was also glassed.

Yes but then adding to that the planet gets glassed so why is there a broken helmet left which we see at the end surely the glassing of the planet should have destroyed that also but it did not.

Strangely enough, his helmet was intact. However, due to the fact that the view of the helmet never changed from the transition to the terraformed Reach, the rest of his body was still out of sight. So I wouldn’t consider that solid evidence.

I am not saying it’s solid evidence just pointing it out if we perhaps could have seen the rest of Noble Sixes body in the reflection of the Helmet to confirm he was dead I would accept the demise of Noble Six however due to that fact we do not see any evidence to 100% confirm the Death of Noble Six is still belive he is still alive.

He has been confirmed dead twice. He isn’t coming back.

Okay we will see but i’m not going off a couple of books with no official proof books can be re-written so unless 343 officially states Noble Six is dead i will not believe he is it only makes sense for books to claim he is dead as after a planet being glassed etc that is what you would expect however with nobody as proof of death Noble Six to me at least is MIA.

343i has confirmed his death in two visual guides. That’s about as simple as it gets.

343i officially stated Noble Six is dead, twice.
> Noble Six
> Date of Death: August 30th, 2552
> Jun
> Unlike the others on Noble, Jun’s fate remains a mystery.
> Kat
> She eventually perished, alongside the rest of Noble, during the battle for the planet Reach.
Jun is the only member of Noble not listed with a death date, and the encyclopedia states that he is the only member of Noble who hadn’t been confirmed dead. While Kat’s description details that she died with the rest of the team.
Jun was the only one unconfirmed.
Retcons can happen, but the possibility that they will bring a character back from the dead is practically none.
Some characters work, like Spark. Others, definitely not.
He can still be alive. We never actually saw his death, we were only given a ton of stuff that suggested he was dead. Yea he was pinned, but he was still throwing elbows and dropping elites like they were nothing for a good while there and we never saw the stab happen.
To all the people citing the death dates I am pretty sure that the Spirit of Fire was deemed lost with all hands, which would make every single soul aboard that ship a KIA when we all know it isn’t destroyed and is slowly making its way back to earth and last I read or talked about it someone said it would take something like 40 years or something to get back which is around 2571, about 15 years or so ahead of the current story.
Key point here is that the military at least assumes six is dead. We know from the terraforming scene and his description that his body was never recovered so how do we really know he is dead?
This is just playing major devil’s advocate because I doubt the new character is Six, but it is possible they meant new to the trilogies seeing as how Reach was a spin-off. I will say though that having the two hyper lethal vectors duke it out in an even fight would be pretty f***ing awesome if I may.

If we are going by the logic of we never actually saw his body, then Jorge may still be alive as well, we never saw his dead body after that explosion either? Same with Carter. This has been confirmed numerous times as stated above and on top of that, there are a million other stories that 343i started that would come before noble team. That story has already been told and completed, Jun is the only factor remaining.
