okay so i was unable to play halo reach very much over the last few years. So recently over the last few weeks i downloaded both the Defiant, and Noble Map packs from live. the maps work as i have played them socially. But on live matchmaking i have never once played any of the new maps?
What is going on?? this is a bit of a bummer. If theres something i can do, or theres a playlist im not understanding please enlighten me.
Halo: Reach’s matchmaking doesn’t always guarantee to match you up with other DLC owners, it only searches for DLC owners for a short time before moving on to search for a game in general.
This is why you aren’t given the option to play the maps, because the players you’re matching don’t have then.
Build a team off DLC owners. Start here on waypoint (since you are here)
Find 1 teammate and enter playlist Double Team… Keep playing till DLC options pop up. When they do, that means your opponents are also DLC owners. Send them requests. Keep playing till you recruited enough DLC owners.
Take yourself and 3 or more DLC owners into team slayer… You might find whole teams to play against.
The DLC maps are a waste of money, unless you have friends that get on at exactly the same time as you, or are willing to do Reach matchmaking when you want to.
That’s if you want to play the maps constantly, but then again, i’m sure everyone is getting (or is now sick) of having to play the same maps over and over.
