Hey guys I’ve been posting around for this idea for a bit, but I was thinking how cool would it be to have a noble 6 spin off before he died on reach/went missing in action. I think it would be awesome to see some of those covert missions he went on, the “stuff covered in black ink” it would pare awesomely with Halo 6 in my opinion. Maybe a tribute to noble 6 just for being the 6th game in the franchise. Obviously I’m sure it’s too late now but in the future that would be awesome! Hyper lethal.
I’d love to see this as well. I feel like we kinda got blue-balled after we got told Noble 6 was the only other Spartan labeled as “hyper lethal.” Gamers definitely want to learn more about someone who could be an equal for the Chief.
Ehmmmm no thanks?
We already got our game with Noble 6 and i think that what made the character special was the fact that he was just a simple Spartan doing what was his mission, putting him in more “extreme” situation would ruin the charm of the character
I had enough of six after Reach,so rather not.
Far as I’m aware reach was the first place N6 fought the covenant and the only place he/she fought them. If you’re going to their past, there won’t be aliens, only insurrectionists. So would you be able to handle fighting humans and only humans? Would anyone else?
furthermore N6 has no visible personality to them so you’re not going to get much out of their character as he/she is nothing but the silent soldier.
would there even be enough to make a decent sized and meaningful game? Or would it be just like odst and be overpriced junk that lasts a few hours?

I wouldn’t say I’ve had enough but Halo Reach’s campaign was from Noble 6’s viewpoint so how would we get a “spin off” exactly?
Reach is Noble 6…
I’m in. I’d imagine it being a lone wolf style game. possibly with a lot of stealth elements and just ending up deep behind enemy lines. sounds like the kind of halo game that would bring a lot of people back.

they can add parts here and there probably closer to the end of the game with covenant but I’ve noticed a lot of people say they want to fight insurrectionists in the halo games so I think people would be fine with it. in order to keep some covenant aspects or have covenant appearances the story can be set around insurrection groups getting a hold of covenant tech and planning an assault on the unsc. similar stuff has happened before like in the cole protocol so it’s not much of a stretch for a good story. he’d also likely spend most of the game trying to track down the head of their operation.
and in case you haven’t noticed, master chief in the first 3 games didn’t have too much of a personality either. bungie even viewed him mainly as a suit of armor that the player wears. the whole concept of chief being human and having emotions, in the games at least, is a 343 thing.
but if you absolutely need noble 6 to have character, he can start off at the beginning of the game with more of a personality but during tragic events of the game he becomes hardened and loses his personality and making him more like how he was in reach. such events might be losing another spartan or group of spartans that he’s known during training and happened to have to work with again in the field for a specific operation or being responsible for the deaths of a large civilian population.
who knows, watching his character die away on the inside in such a game might make the fans feel more empathy towards him dying as a broken man at the end of reach.
right now I’m more concerned on the fact that Master chief isn’t getting any more games to himself. he’s the main character, and Locke it kind of taken it over. Id rather see a Flood horror game were your playing as a marine, and have to fight of the flood with no shields, decreased jumping, and reload rate, and stuff like that.
halo reach was a spin off game
good idea but spin offs are an attempt to save a dieing movie or game. this ship is still sailing so dont sink it yet.

Fighting insurectionists would definitely bring a new enemy to the table tho instead of fighting aliens all the time the human civil war was a big part of the halo universe to begin with anyways it’s why Spartans were made. Playing as a hyper lethal assassin would be awesome. Perhaps one day we will see.

Not a bad idea. It would break up the monotony for sure.

That’s basically just ODST with the flood added in. Not a bad idea but I don’t think 343 isn’t looking to get into the space-horror genre.
Also, chief has been in plenty of games. Not that I want him killed off or gone but his character is over explored and even the old fans thought this by the time H3 came out.
Now, on a side note, I’d actually love to see a forerunner spin-off title, where the player has to fight the flood, ancient humans, and precursors while the Halo arrays are built at the end. I think it would be pretty epic.
I’d play it for a chance to look into [REDACTED].

Bingo! This guy gets it.
Case closed.

The problem is , 343 and Microsoft want the Spartans to remain hero figures as long as possible. Would most players look at Spartans the same if they are complicit with the “Evil Empire” and willingly and blindly follow orders that are immoral and ruthless? Killing Aliens because your beliefs differ is one thing , killing Humans for a different opinion is something else entirely and not something 343 or Microsoft wants to put a direct light on.
I understand most adults and mature audience members know and understand these things happened , but I don’t think to many of us want to play that story. Killing innocents and being a jack boot is not my idea of a good time. Even though details of the insurrection would be nice , is it worth tarnishing the idea or view of Spartans in the big picture?
Maybe another spartan III? But no more 6, he is time came and past, did his job to the letter. Could have some stuff from gamma company possibly, that would be nice to see.
Not really feeling that idea. If it was following the story of a Spartan III from Gamma company on all of their ops against the Covenant then culminating in Operation Torpedo. The added layers can come from the fact you are playing as a child soilder and watching your innocence stripped away in various forms. It would be dark and gritty.
I’d love to see the insurrectionist groups that he crippled that Carter mentioned
