No Yanme'e and no Huragok in Halo 4

Didn’t see their photos in the Halo 4 art Gallery! Both Played an important role with the covy! Can’t explain their sudden disappearance! Hopefully 343i didn’t just make a stupid excuse and remove them!

They aren’t part of the Storm. Simple enough.

> They aren’t part of the Storm. Simple enough.

True but the Huragok were created by the Forerunners, so it’s odd to seem them absent on a Forerunner Shield World.

Very true.

> There are Huragok on the Infinity. So they may be in cutscenes as allies. Tears of joy They’re so damn cute :S

Wait, really? Source?

The Thursday War.

OP: “Sudden disappearance”? You do know that the Covenant races generally disbanded after Halo 3 without proper leadership, right? The Drones, like many other races, were just conquered and made to fight for the Covenant, there’s no indication that they ever shared the same zealous beliefs as those who reformed the Storm Covenant.

They are called drones and engineers op.

OT: Drones were plain annoying, and i am glad they are gone.

These are the human designations, err names for them. Same goes for Elite, Brute, Hunter, Grunt etc.

In this case, the actual names of the species are Yanme’e (Drones), and the Huragok (Engineers).

Human names on the left, real names on the right.

Elites-Sanghelli

Grunts-Unggoy

Brutes- Jiralhanae

Jackals/Skirmishers- Kig-Yar

Hunters-Mgalekgolo. Lekgolo is just a small colony of worms that make up what a Hunter is. These worms also made up the cores of Scarabs in Halo 2/3/Reach

Yanme’e/Buggers- Drones

Engineers- Huragok

Prophets- San Shyuum

What’s the point of trying to sound intelligent, just for the sake of sounding intelligent? Am I not a Halo fan, even though I’ve purchased every Halo game on the day they were released, and played the hell out of them all? Not everyone’s read the books you know. Saying people should know the books before the games the books were made from? That’s just ignorant.

Protip:that is the name they call theirselves, NOT their scientific name.
Huragok are facticius insoles and yanme’e is turpis rex.

The more you know uuuguuuu. ヽ(^o^)丿

Technically those are just their actual names. The scientific names for these two species would be “Turpis rex” and “Facticius indoles” respectively.

Their disappearance is easily explained, especially in the case of the Huragok. The San 'Shyuum took them with them when they disappeared according to Glasslands. The Yanme’e were never really religious and only joined the Covenant to stop the fighting, why join Storm? Also, the renders aren’t confirmed to be ALL of them, just the ones that are confirmed.

Some people, like me for example, prefer to use their actual names for reasons other then sounding smart.

There’s really no point in calling them by their scientific name unless OP is trying to show off their knowledge. Why would you type Yanme’e instead of Drone?

Guys, a name’s a name. Please stop bickering over semantics at this point.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Those unfamiliar with the Engineers are likely to shoot them without second thought anyways and for those newer fans coming off Reach, should at least know what they look like.

There could be interesting story development with having Huragok on the Infinity.

The engineers fleed from the Covenant and are back on all the shield worlds. Lucy killed one in Glasslands when she thought it was an enemy, she felt very bad.
