So I’ve completed a fair number of challenges, some of them with what I assume to be a snowflake for winter contingency, but I haven’t unlocked anything beyond the 1st tier. Are the challenges going to be released later, or am I experiencing a bug?

Weird. I guess that guarantees that people will have to keep coming back for the rewards. I was planning on blitzing through the challenges like I did with the samurai thing.
