Hey everyone, just wondering if this issue has been discussed much since I last brought it up. Has 343 commented at all about adding default weapons on maps so we don’t run out of ammo so much? Also, what about the weapons on maps disappearing so quickly after being dropped by an enemy?

Halo 4 is out and for the most part, it’s an alright game. I won’t get into the various issues I have with it but there has been something that is getting annoying.
WHY ARE THERE NO AMMO CACHES OR AT LEAST DEFAULT RIFLES ON MAPS
I don’t know how many times I’ve been in a big team game and going on a nice streak, and end up with no ammo. Pick up a dead enemies rifle you say? Nope!
WHY DO WEAPONS OFF DEAD ENEMIES LITERALLY DISAPPEAR IN 5 SECONDS?
This is a simple fix, put rifles on maps like Halo 3.Or at the very least don’t make weapons disappear so fast.

As a poster brought to my attention, this problem is not only related to rifles. Consider on Ragnarok, a vehicle heavy map, with only one laser. Not only does that laser not spawn every 2 minutes after being picked up like it did in Halo 3, but now if I kill an enemy who’s holding it, I will most likely NEVER get to him in time before it disappears. Even if I kill at mid-close range. Thus, my team is left to combat all the vehicles with stickies and default rifles.

In response to a user who said this system could possibly help prevent camping–
The problem with nothing on the maps now besides the rare map drops, it becomes a battle of loadout weapons.
If you played Halo 3 you would recall on The Pit there was a push at each start for
A) Rockets
B)Camo
C)Snipers
D)Overshield
By placing these on the maps it pushed people to LEAVE their base. Campers gained nothing. But still, I am NOT saying we need power weapon ammo caches. I’m only saying we need them for the DEFAULT rifles. Or at the very least increase the time it takes for a weapon off a dead enemy to disappear. Allowing similar users to walk over their body and get ammo."
