Forge is here finally… so how is it?
I can certainly see all the amazing things that can be made with this forge system. The controls are a little weirdly mapped out but that just my point of view. All and all, this is definitely a huge improvement from Halo 4 forge.
Unfortunately…343 have pretty much showed us that we can go -Yoink- are selves when it comes to having Warzone Vehicles and weapons. I know for a fact that it can be put in the forge system without any problems at all, but 343 knows that there are people out there that spend hundreds of dollars just for getting said Warzone items. So if they put them in the forge system, then people will just see and use them in forge instead of playing/buying them for Warzone. That would mean 343 wouldn’t get all of there profit solely from the REQ packs. God forbid we have the privilege of being able to use more then just standard vehicles and weapons without having to play Warzone. “Oh… you want to test and use the Warzone vehicles and weapons to create awesome gametypes and customer game matches with you’re friends, -Yoink- YOU GIVE US MONEY SO YOU CAN HAVE A CHANCE OF USING THEM… sincerely:343 Industries”
The logic seems somewhat backwards. Seeing the effects of REQ equipment can give people more incentive to hunt after them. And even if they’re available for custom games, they don’t reward as much as Warzone would, so they would still have to play Warzone/use money to buy REQs.
I’ll admit, I don’t like that they’re keeping Warzone out of Forge, especially when there’s so much Forgers and custom game makers can do with that gametype (At least spice it a lot more than 343’s current endeavor).
At least they gave us the SPNKr, good ol’ Rocket old school skin. I can see them adding the CE Pistol in Forge, too.
To answer the question, controls are pretty different, GUI needs a bit of getting used to. Still confused as to why we’re unable to use the color variants presented at Forge for our Spartans.
Why are you surprised about this? They stated that they wouldn’t be in forge over a month ago.
Wow, already complaining.

It’s the same people who buy the game and then complain about it not having split screen.

Not everyone visits this website often, and even if they do, it doesn’t mean they will read the news 343 puts out. That issue aside, it’s a legitimate concern. The REQ system is awesome but unfortunately it is not receiving the support it should from the lack of a PvE mode and their inclusion in Forge.
One would think 343 would make the REQ inclusion in Forge a priority. The more people get exposure to these awesome new weapons and vehicles, the more they will want to use them in an actual Warzone game, thus increasing REQ pack sales. It seems like a win-win to me.
No vehicles? Why are bridge segments reading that they’re useful for vehicles to drive over?
I just want to know why the classic rocket launcher is in forge, but the Halo 1 magnum and classic battle rifle aren’t.
