> Perks: NOT A BAD IDEA. Didn’t even come from CoD originally. So, you tell me what’s wrong with having balanced perks.
> Care Package: Ugh. Is there actually anything wrong with this? I mean seriously. Apart from the Fact it isn’t in any other Halo games. Seriously.
> Instant Spawn: The Playlist’s that I can see this as an issue already have Instant Respawn disabled. So, again, your point is?
> Unlocking Emblems: So your point is…?
> Unlocking Weapons: So what? You have Loadout’s already decked out with essential weapons, AA’s, etc.
> Broken Join In Progress: Yet to see anything wrong with it while I was playing. So, go ahead, tell me your story of doom and woe.
> Spawning with a Shotgun: Funny how everyone screams about this. I have rarely died from the use of one. Very rarely. Few people use this, other that that one guy.
> Flinch instead of De-scope: If Flinch wasn’t so random, I would talk about it. So while Flinch needs fixing, I don’t understand what’s wrong with having it.
Perks: TERRIBLE IDEA. They decrease the skill gap by forcing random occurrences/interactions. the playing field should start evenly, and this does the complete opposite by giving everyone super powers. This feature was implemented because little timmy wasn’t good enough to kill people with pure skill, but if he saw them through a wall first he might just get the upper hand!
Care Package: “I know, let’s give players power weapons for doing things like killing someone while they are reloading, or being a distraction!” How does that sound like a good idea to you? This feature makes it so even MORE random occurrences happen, and the game eventually turns into a power weapon fest. Not good with any of the starting weapons? That’s okay, because soon enough you’ll have your choice of the most powerful weapons in the game for absolutely no significant reason besides existing. This feature was implemented because little Timmy was tired of people finding the power weapons before him, and it made him sad.
Instant Respawn: Completely broken in every gametype. with the shields recharging at the slowest rate in Halo history, an instant respawn (coupled with a horrid dynamic spawning system) Allow players to literally kill the person that just killed them before their shield can come back. I have gotten double kills by killing, dying, and killing again because of this feature. It produces not only a random respwn time, but also makes it so map control means nothing with people constantly spawning, forcing you to constantly look for them instead of focus on gaining power positions. If you were to couple this with the Nemesis perk, you could instantly kill the person that just killed you every single time you respawned. This feature was implemented because timmy always wants to be in the action, and having to wait to respawn let’s the other team set up map control.
Unlocking emblems/armor/weapons: Why should I have to do this. It is the most pointless and stupid accomplishment imaginable, And does nothing for the game itself. Unlocking emblems/armor is just a piss poor way to get away with an experience grinding system, and unlocking weapon to add to load outs just warps the playing field even more by forcing even more random encounters than before, causing an inevitable “fiesta slayer” game, in which nothing is set in stone. It is the most random of all the features implemented, and has absolutely no place in a game with such a large sandbox. This feature was implemented because little Timmy has to feel like he’s achieving something, and instead of keeping the old ranking system that was too hard for Timmy to move up in, they give him armor/emblems/other useless dress up toys for playing hours on end. Nifty.
Join in progress: You don’t see any problem with me joining a game down 140-520 because the other team was dominating and a person quit, hencing dooming me to lose by no fault of my own? This is one of the worst features introduced to the Halo community, because it gave people the mindset that quitting is okay when it isn’t. It never has been, and never will be. But without a quit ban or any punishment for leaving the game, people now do it in any scenario that isn’t in their favor. And because of JIP, it’s “okay” because someone will fill their shoes. This feature was implemented because little Timmy was tired of having teammates quit, even if he was losing by an insurmountable margin. And, if he ever wants to quit because somebody is too good it’s no problem! He’ll just join into another game someone quit out of.
Boltshot: I can count 4 times off the top of my head that I died in the last game I played by a boltshot, and at least 13 or 14 times I saw someone wielding it. To say that hardly anyone uses it is 1) an absolute assumption with no hard evidence and 2) the worst and most -Yoink–backward assumption I have ever heard regarding the matchmaking portion of this game. It is used often, and it kills people almost as often. If you have really only been killed once by it (which I utterly doubt is the truth), you have probably only played half a game. Spawning with the Boltshot automatically enables you to win any and all close range affairs (host permitting) and destroys any sense of security when moving about the map. In gametypes with radar enabled the Boltshot runs rampant and can’t be countered by any other weapon. Promethean Vision is the only way to avoid it, and that’s if you’ve got intuition to match. this gun was introduced to the game because Timmy was tired of people beating him to the punch, and he wante3d a sure fire way to kill people close to him. Timmy likes 1 shot kill weapons, that’s why there are 14 of them in this game. you’re welcome Timmy.
Flinch: Because of this feature, it’s near impossible to kill a good player wielding a Sniper/DMR at range. Without being knocked out of scope, you will maintain any aim assist/bullet magnetism that the gun has indefinitely. this feature was implemented because Timmy was annoyed he always had to scope back in when he was shot, because it made him miss.
Oh, and all these features were replicated from COD. Because that was Timmy’s game.
