Im not sure if people have presented this so i will. Im not talking about having the original VISABLE 1-50 rank system becuase franky already said it will not be in halo 4. How about hidding the 1-50 ranking system just like the truskill system is hidden. I really don’t see how this can be a bad idea. There will be no boosters and derankers and 50’s sellers becuase no one will ever know what they are.
You do know that Halo 3 also uses the Trueskill system, right?
whats the point of 1-50 if its hidden if the point of 1-50 was to be visible?
did you know halo reach also used the truskill system? The point is the truskill system itself is not enough for competitive gaming. Most xbox games have truskill system but halo requires a much more complex and skill based system to hold its title for a really competitive game.
> whats the point of 1-50 if its hidden if the point of 1-50 was to be visible?
Franky already said the 1-50 visable system will not be back. Its better to have it hidden so we can enjoy competitive gaming. Frank said he didn’t like people boosting with the 1-50, but if it is hidden people won’t know if they are a 50 or not.
This means you get paired up with people of similar skill, unlike reach where it’s hidden truskill system fails.
Having a hidden 1-50 is still the 1-50 system, and it does not get rid of the problems.

The 1-50 system is the Trueskill system. Reach used the Trueskill system too, except it was invisible.

It used a Truskill system, not a hidden 1-50 though.

Yes, but the 1-50 system was just a way to visibly express the Trueskill system, if I’m not mistaken.

You do realize the point of 1-50 is sort of a badge to say Hey look I reached rank 50! If you make it invisible there is literally no point in having it. 1-50 isn’t it’s own complex system, its just a shiny badge and narrows down trueskill to the rank you had.
I’d rather see the 1-50.
Then why is it that i go +25 in some games and even +55 in objective in reach but i was not able to due that in halo 3? Becuase it had a 1-50 skill system. the truskill itself is not enough.
If the 1-50 skill was hidden we can get paired up with people of our skill and not have to worry about people boosting.

No, Halo Reach’s system is the same as Halo 3’s, albeit with some differences. The 1-50 system was the Trueskill system.
1-50 is not coming back, hidden or not.
