No Thorne in Halo 5: Guardians

Was anyone else surprised/dissapointed that Spartan Thorne wasn’t in Halo 5: Guardians at all? 343i did a good job (I think) of building up his character in Spartan Ops, yet he didn’t even make a cameo in Halo 5. Anyone have any theories why he wasn’t in the game?

He was supposed to be on Fireteam Osiris based on some concept art. Never happened, but I would have liked to see how he would have handled the situation. Sadly he’ll probably die in Halo: Escalation given he is wandering around a swamp with a Needler needle stuck in him right now.

Well, my guess is that Crimson and Majestic were off doing… other stuff? I loved Spartan Ops, but in Halo 5’s case they weren’t very relevant to the plot. It was nice to see Commander Palmer though.

I agree, Other than Palmer there was no real reason for any other Spartans in the plot. Besides I don’t think he would have been recognisable enough or fit in very well with the rest of the story. He is far to generic to be of any use to the story and I think everyone prefers Locke and Buck.

We have to eliminate all characters tied to spartan ops one at a time. Just palmer and roland left I think.
