Don’t get me wrong i like many of the new maps but there are no symmetrical arena maps. There aren’t really any symmetrical for that matter. It could be with sprint and instant spawn that that’s hard to do but I do miss maps such as Narrows, Pit, Heretic, or the arena map Guardian (Yes, they are from Halo 3 so don’t shoot me!)
Hoping the map packs can provide a few. Gameplay seems out of sync for me with the instant respawn. I’m not a hater it just seems…different.

Haven and Adrift would like to have a word with you
Haven is symmetrical, and Adrift is inverse symmetrical. But Haven has asymmetrical starting spawns. The rest of the maps, except for Abandon, are jokes.
Haven is also pretty large. I would like to see smaller symmetrical maps. Smaller maps in general, actually

Will never happen, sadly. 343 is too set on thinking that just having sprint automatically makes it so every map needs to be BTB-size to support 4v4.
Haven seems like a good all around map and Adrift plays good with CTF.Abandon is a joke, quit kidding yourself. What is Abandon good for? Zombies, I swear they made this map with zombies in mind. And I mean the whole Zombie thing in a bad way. I hate Halo zombies.
I think in time some Forge creations might make a appearance in matchmaking that can solve this problem.
Please don’t do the word game. I believe of the 10 maps that aren’t Forge Lands, only 3 are asymmetrical. That be Complex, Abandoned and Vortex.
You also don’t seem to think that arena maps must be so small that spawning means instant enemy contact. That is why Haven, Adrift and Solace aren’t small enough for your liking. They’re symmetrical but they fit into your word game by not being small enough.
Of course there are the Forge Lands I mentioned. They’re perfect for making small and minimalistic maps that can be tweaked meticulously to perfection, something static maps aren’t perfect for.

Yeah, we should have some loyal Halo players do 343s job for them. I saw one extremely good remake of Ascension like the colors actually matched what it looked like in Halo 2. The rest look really bland, hopefully I will be surprised.

Yeah I played customs on that map recently and it was so much fun. It looked and played really good.
