I really am enjoying Halo 4, but I have noticed (with disappointment) that there is no stick medal. Why would they take out one of the most notable medals in Halo? Also, note that they did add plasma kill, which requires a kill via plasma grenade, however doesn’t require a stick. Stick used to be one of my favorite medals to get (next to splatters) and I’m a little sad they didnt put it in. What do you guys think? should they have put it in, or do you not mind?
PS. note that it does say stick above your kill points if you get one, but no medal is awarded and there is no trackable stat that I’m aware of.
Thats not the only medal gone, there’s no Perfection, Sniper spree etc
But heay at least we now have a distraction medal lol.
There isn’t a Perfection medal? I’m pretty sure I saw a commendation for Perfections during the short time I was browsing through them.

Thanks! I forgot to mention the lack of other medals like the various sprees, sniper headshot (although this one I’m not 100% sure is not in the game), etc. even when they added medals like generic kill

I feel like this wouldn’t be as much of a disappointment if they didn’t add in so many medals that are essentially meaningless like “vehicle kill” “kill” and “distraction”
I hadn’t noticed the missing medal, but that is a bummer. Hopefully they remember to add them into the next game. Also, is it just me, or does it seem like the unique “click” sound of the the sticky landing on the opponent is gone?

What is the stick medal then? if you are referencing the plasma kill medal, they are not the same thing. You can get a plasma kill without a stick, it’s just unlikely since plasma grenades have low damage and radius. If the enemy stands directly on top of a plasma, it will kill them and give you a plasma kill, without a stick. Also you get a plasma kill when you blow up a vehicle with plasma grenades even though you stick the vehicle as opposed to the enemy.
Many classic ‘things’ are missing for a very simple reason:
343i have decided straight away that they want COD’s audience.
Everything have to be simpler, more streamlined and easy to achieve.
COD kids don’t like challenge, in ANY way.
Seriously, think about it.
Most of the thing that got removed are part of core Halo experience.
Difficult medals to obtain?
Cut them out, put tons of -Yoink- ones (distraction) in so they feel like achieved something.
i agree with you, i am really disappointed that there is no stick medal. I would play halo to try and stick people. I have 5,000 sticks in H3 and 4,500 in Reach so know i have to keep a clipboard next to me when i play so i count when i stick someone. I dont know why it was a problem to put in a simple little medal.
