LOL! you are delusional. If you think taking away stats is going to make people not try hard so that you can win, you are gravely wrong. You are literally the only person I know that feels like this LOL. You just stated you are against stats because of users like me. You admitted to why you don’t want them. Players are better than you and it makes you sad. we get it, no one cares. You provide ZERO points as to why 343 would remove stats after 20 years. ZERO.
So no one should be able to track their stats just because you don’t like them? Seems like you are only taking certain people into account and not everyone. I loved being able to see my stats in MCC and see if I’m improving or not, so why should I not be allowed to do that just because YOU don’t like it?
You could stop having this childish attitude and at least bother to act like an adult. I have provided you with a link to a whole topic where we discuss this topic and I elaborate on my opinion and the only thing I receive in return is your hilarious response where you seem annoyed for having clearly told you that you do not contribute anything and you are having a toxic behavior.
And your only way to argue is to respond with “No, you are more!” That is why I consider you part of the toxicity problem that permeates this community, by users like you who do not contribute anything.
And the truth, being Platinum 5, I don’t really care if you think I think this because I think people are better than me or whatever nonsense that has crossed your mind.
You don’t want to debate, you don’t want to understand my point of view, or even do your part to understand the problem, why should I bother with someone like you whose only argument is at the level of a little child’s tantrum? Do not make me waste my time.
If it were up to me, I would eliminate it, but I understand that we are in a community and not everyone thinks like me, that’s why I insist that instead of maintaining the status quo, the global statistics of social games should be rethink with a remote approach of the competitiveness that permeates social games, we’ve already covered all of this here:
Lol you are the one butt hurt. Stats are here to stay. Regardless of how much you whine and cry! LOL
Nothing you said about not having stats makes any sense at all. ZERO. Toxicity comes in all shapes and sizes. Especially from those who cry when they don’t get their way.
So would you be fine with ranked stats? Personally I want all the ranked stats, and then you could divide up social stats by gametype. So slayer, grifball, and all the other modes are tracked but divided by their mode, that way your stats are reflected by what you are playing.
Stats create a false incentive that directly competes with playing the game as intended. Competitive ranks should be the gold standard as winning in ranked is the only way to prove skill and winning doesn’t always equal best KDR. Having social KDR only forces toxic gameplay. You can probably have W/L ratio for all modes because winning the game is usually the idea.
OF COURSE, my problem is not that the global statistics exist in the ranked games of the rankends, my problem is the misuse that I think is being given to the global statistics of the social games, and how I think they should be rethought to give them a better use, or remove them if they cannot be given such use.
At no time did I mean that ALL statistics must disappear, the medal table and rankends statistics must continue to exist. But social games, having a more fun-oriented approach, should focus their statistics on that use.
For example, a K / D ratio in social games loses all meaning when playing game modes as diverse as grifball or CTB.
I definitely agree with that. K/D shouldn’t be tracked in all social modes. I remember in MCC being irritated sometimes playing Infection because it would just bomb out your K/D. I think social stats should be tailored to gamemode. So for grifball, instead of K/D you track scoring, ball defence, etc. And for infection, it could be zombies killed, players infected, etc. They definitely don’t need global stats for social.
Or you could just ignore them. But no. People like you need to force your will on everyone else. Because you don’t like stats, no one should. smh. Such an arrogant and toxic approach that ignores both what allowed Halo to have such a great community with creative new gametypes and ways to play as well as the core of human nature which is competition.
Without stats, you cannot focus on improving what needs improved. As an athlete myself who played college basketball, stats are mandatory when developing your game. Sorry.
If it’s ranked, then sure. Social needs to stay ambiguous. Since you’re an athlete then you know that an individual performance doesn’t matter when compared to the team’s. Adjusting your own play is one thing, but it needs to be in context with team performance. The issue with internet gaming is that it’s filled with “lone wolves” that will sacrifice everyone else’s good time to boost themselves. Look at how many people offer to drive team vehicles in BTB lmao.
Literally in a comment on yours I present part of my arguments for which I consider that the situation should be rethought with the global statistics of social games, there is a whole topic created on this matter where I invite and insist on making a debate on how to approach this to lead to an improvement for all.
And your answer is to ignore all that and tell me that I am a toxic and that I just want to take things away from others. You do not want to debate, you do not know how to read, you only seek to be right and provoke a row.
The problem here is, at least in social modes, it’s not all just basketball for example. It would be like you playing soccer (grifball) and tracking those stats in an attempt to get better at basketball (slayer). It doesn’t really work like that because they are completely different forms of play, so tracking both those stats the same way isn’t beneficial to the user. That’s why I suggested stat tracking for social based on mode rather than global.
