So i’ve been playing halo 3 for the last 6 days, i’m on the level “the Covenant” but have yet to get credit for ANY of the preceding levels. No achievements, no avatars, no stats being tracked. nothing on waypoint, nothing on the xbox app, and nothing in the MCC itself, they all say “unplayed” I know there have been multiple threads on this but they seem to have all been closed and locked without the problem being solved. I’m not here to complain i just want to know, is there ANYTHING i can do about this? i don’t want to play the entire game over again just to get achievements, avatars, and nameplates i should already have. again this isn’t just an achievement issue, the entire MCC unlock system is breaking for me here.
I’ve noticed a slight bug on my end too where it says the Halo 3 Campaign is unplayed on my in-game stats, but I have all the achievements for completing it and the Waypoint stats are synced as well. Your situation is obviously more severe, and hopefully 343 will be able to address this issue with a future update.
i gave in and played the campaign again, and this time it all worked … mostly. I had to play the storm 4 times to get credit but i did get it eventually. i think the unlocks are tied to achievements so if the xbox achievement servers suck, the unlock system breaks. So there’s virtually nothing that can be done about it. i don’t know about my waypoint stats though, it seems those are tied to achievements too but … why? This is why local achievements work better.
Damn 4 times? That is pretty ridiculous lol, is it just the Halo 3 campaign that’s acting like this for you or have the other ones as well?

I’ve only noticed problems on Halo 3 but it’s likely i just got lucky with the other campaigns.
