No Stat-Tracking in Halo4

No K/d, No Win/loss, No stats what so ever.

How many of you would be absolutely enraged over this.

meh

Why would they do that?

I would be furious.

I like to know the nitty gritty details of how I’m doing and how I play

It would not bother me in the slightest. I don’t fuss about statistics, I just play the game for some fun.

From a technological and logical point of view: that is a terrible idea.

From a gameplay point of view: it’d be great. No more idiotic flame wars about stats, no more stat padding. Everyone would just play, it’d have no affect on who took the game serious or for fun. Everything would be thrown down in the battlefield, all the talk would have to be backed up where it should be backed up at. Just the way it should be.

It would be an idiotic move, as it would be pointless to remove such.

Very

I wouldn’t be happy about it, but they aren’t going to leave stat tracking out of the game. That would be stupid.

> It would not bother me in the slightest. I don’t fuss about statistics, I just play the game for some fun.

I hate people who say… I don’t care at all because I play for fun.

For me playing competetivly IS fun. Having a huge K/D IS very fun. Stop -Yoinking!- everyone with your non-sense. Everyone has fun in there own way of having fun, it’s not just your way.

Just because competetative gaming is too hard for lots of people doesn’t make it the ‘Un-fun’ side of Halo. If you want to make silly shapes in forge or tea-bag each-other because its funny and it makes you laugh go ape -Yoink-, whatever makes YOU happy.

This but i can see why it would piss off A LOT of people

I brought up this topic, for a few reasons. CE Anniversary, no stats. If they decided to throw it back, it could be a reality.

To put an end of stat padding, forum clogging threads, that clutter up the place.

> No K/d, No Win/loss, No stats what so ever.

And nothing* of value would be lost.

  • Games with Matchmaking are required by Microsoft to use TrueSkill, so we’d still have ranks and skill-based matching. What we wouldn’t have is K/D addicts ruining objective games, or anything of that sort.

Now in any forum, you have competitive and amateur people playing a sport, or game, or career.

When I hear Competitive, I think Professional. Someone who gets paid to do just that, compete.

When I hear Amateur,(the gaming world refers to them as “casual”) I think someone who does not get paid to compete. For fun, not good enough, whatever.

What benefit does it give to the competitive player who is not being paid to play the game. Boasting rights on a forum? If that is the case then you are diluting yourself as a player.

If you are a professional gamer, being paid to compete at a professional level. You are the only ones who actually have a right to be playing in a Competitive playlist, like MLG. Personally, I feel that the playlist should have a list of pre-requesites that gain you access to even play in it.

You wouldn’t get in to a boxing ring with a pro, if you only been in two fights in your life.

Shadowrun deliberately left stat tracking and ranks out. Game was still competitive, and fun as hell, regardless.

But yeah, doing this in Halo nowadays would be nothing, short of suicide.

If they did this there wouldn’t be enough people in the playlist at one time to get a match.

Also, the playlist has nothing to do with “getting in to a boxing ring with a pro, if you only been in two fights in your life.” The playlist is for practice and fun. The actual MLG events require credentials and qualifications to compete among the pros.

So me… a very skilled Halo player does not have the right to play in my favourite playlist simply because someone wont throw money at me?

And using that boxing analogy is stupid. There is NO definition of FUN. My fun isn’t the same as everyones.

Reported, read the rules.

I’d like if you had the option to hide some features of the stats in Halo 4. Some people used to bait the head off people back in the Reach forums if their K/D was low…

Reported for what?

You wanted to know how many people would be ‘enraged’ by your idea. I’m letting you know.
