No sprint For HARDCORE RANKED WHEN FULL GAME IS RELEASED

If there is a hardcore (MLG) ranked playlist
I think sprinting and sliding should be turned off
Keep it original to the halo series for really competitive play turn up player movement speed
(I really do like sliding and sprinting just do think it is needed for a HARDCORE PLAYLIST)
What’s everyone else views?

Why should it be turned off? Is it sliding hard for controller players?

If there is one thing I know about esports nerds, it’s that they LOVE to vaunt exploits and other oddities as skill gaps.

It would be interesting to see an option to disable sprint in the custom game options, but I completely disagree for matchmaking. It’s a part of the game. Everything is designed around it. Sprint isn’t even that intrusive. It’s less of a speed boost than previous games and the maps aren’t stretched out like they were in Reach or Halo 4.

I actually think sprint is balanced really well and like it’s implementation. Think it should be kept on for HCS.

I don’t think we will get a Hardcore ranked, that’s what HCS is.

The beauty of Infinite is they have made a game which plays great casually and competitively without neutering the sandbox or gameplay which every other Halo had to do.

Nah mate love sliding

Yeah definitely not disable from matching was saying about just 1 playlist if there is hardcore

I prefer to keep sprint in all playlists

The halo series was all about competitive play I think 343 would be stupid not to include a HC playlist in the game in my opinion the halo series has been dying out they need to do something to keep the game alive
As much as how fun infinite is I really want it to do well specially with competitive and social new players who have only started the game with just infinite they have no idea how competitive halo was back in the day they missed out allot I’m not saying remove sprint completely from the game just 1 playlist just see how it plays out

Ranked is the official settings right now for the Halo Championship Series which is the Hardcore/MLG equivalent of today.

100% Disagree. 343 have already announced the competitive settings for Halo Infinite. Sprint and Slide introduce a huge movement skill gap that the top tier players are actually excited about. Check out Shyway on YouTube or Twitter (Alexander Hope). He breaks down the game at the HCS level, and provides tutorials and insights on how some of 343’s design decisions will affect HCS gameplay.

To me in my opinion it doesn’t feel like a championship playlist for rank just normal slayer
The game literally tells you when a weapon is spawning
They better have
Ranked
Team doubles
Ffa LONE WOLVES
team snipers
Hopefully some new ones too

I was just seeing what peoples views would be if sprint was disabled just don’t want this game to FLOP

Will check this out mate

I’m looking forward to HC mode but I think sprinting is necessary to escape danger and close gaps. As for sliding, I’m not sure yet. I just know it’s fun to kill a slider who thinks he’s being cool.

Should definitely remove equipment though.

Sprinting and sliding are just core FPS mechanics. The only thing that removing them does is make the movement more clunky. I’ve been playing since CE, so I’ve experienced all of the multiplayer experiences. Trust me, having up-to-date mechanics and smooth movement is better.

No.

It is part of the core gameplay, why it should be changed? I was against sprinting but they nailed on Infinite: its feels natural and “Halo”.

Why I should thin they should fix is the aim assist… the controller is doing half of the job. It is ridiculous

Adding or removing Sprint doesn’t necessarily make a game better or slower or whatever. There are games without sprint that are an absurd amount faster than sprint games. Speed in first-person games are based on map design and visual queues.

I never even played Quake before the remaster that came out this year since I was usually on console, and that game is faster and feels better than most other shooters I’ve played.
