NO SPLITSCREEN MULTIPLAYER?

After finding out there will be no split-screen multiplayer I am extremely disappointed to say the least. Gone are the days of couch-coop playing goldeneye or h2 with friends online. Xbox itself already lacks a tremendous amount of games that should be two to even four players coop or online coop/multiplayer. I have watched the decline of them since the original xbox, year after year less and less games allowing you to play with friends. Some say this is a cash grab forcing you to buy other consoles, others say they want to LAN instead. Either way we face a serious issue as we become more isolated as a society already this has been one of the last things holding in person friendships together, HALO being a staple for it! With this news, I will personally not be picking up a copy of the new halo, instead spending the money on an n64 or more original xbox games but I would love to see everyone elses opinion. I know the focus is to be more on the competitive aspect which I understand but I feel it’s a feature that cannot be compromised.

Should halo be multiplayer couch coop?

Should xbox one have more of these types of games?

Am I just a sad loser fan?

It is a disgusting precedent for Halo. Without splitscreen and without LAN capability, Halo 5 will be the first entry in the series where there is no multiplayer outside of Xbox Live. That means you have to pay a subscription to Microsoft for Halo 5 multiplayer. Period. There is no alternative.
