I haven’t even purchased halo 5 yet (plan on going in about an hour to get it) and I learned that the split screen online feature has been removed?? is it even worth getting now? I have a brother that I play with and this is absolutely ridiculous that we can’t play together. as if 343 didn’t screw up enough with the launch of MCC, they are running the Halo franchise into the ground with these mistakes. BRING BACK SPLIT SCREEN!
There are logistical reasons for not including split screen, with split screen you would lose Frames per second and fidelity, I agree that it sucks not having it, but it shouldn’t be the deciding factor in getting the game or not.

Were you living under a rock the past year??? How did you not already hear of this?
I know it sucks, but I’m sure 343i had a wonderful reason for not including it. I guess the amount of people wanting good graphical fidelity outweighed the amount wanting splitscreen. I know you’re gonna hate me for saying this, but the MCC is still there is you want to play splitscreen. Overall, though, it’s worth getting H5, even if you can’t do that. Then again, this is coming from someone who only played splitscreen once in a while, so it’s not a big deal for me.
It was more or less sacrificed for 60fps and “high fidelity” of Campaign. Whether you think it was worth it is your opinion. Depends on how grand and smooth the Campaign really is. If it’s not a huge noticeable upgrade from anything on MCC, then I’d say it was not worth the loss.
I rely on the split screen feature because I have someone playing with me most of the time. I’m literally disgusted with the news of this right now. I feel nauseated and believe Halo has taken not just a step, but a tumble in the wrong direction. 343i should charge $30 for this game because it offers half of what the previous Halos had!

Is the opportunity for them and MS to force the buy of more Xbox and H5 copies considered as a wonderful reason here?
I haven’t played Split-Screen for years. I still think that’s a terrible and loathful mistake to remove it, regardless of the motivations that led to this.

Couldn’t agree more with you! All a money making scheme to screw the players over! No thought towards the intentions of users and what the people want! I’d rather have the disaster launch of MCC again with this Halo 5 than have the split screen feature removed. 343i will forever rue the day they decided to remove split screen!
