No Split-Screen In Halo 5 is Good.

Many people hated the fact that split-screen was taken out of Halo 5. I was sad at first but then heard why they went that way. I played Black Ops 3 with my dad on split-screen. I was having a horrible time same with my dad. We hated the black bars and low quality of a game that should be high quality. It also was having a very choppy frame rate that never reached 60 FPS. I feel like it would end up being the same for Halo. This is just a little information on why you should be alright with not having split-screen. So now that you know this do you still hate it or okay with the fact it’s gone from the game?

Being the devil’s advocate here. People like the splitscreen because it was like family and friends time. 4 people playing offline together and having fun or 2 players playing co-op campaign. I personally don’t mind it being gone because 1. My family don’t play halo anymore. Not after like Halo 3. 2. My friends have different tastes for games so I usually play by myself. And yes framerate does seem to be higher but I have noticed sometimes that rendering can be a bit slow. At some points of the game the character model looks shiny and metallic. Then they look somewhat metallic and shiny. And framerate does not really feel like 60fps. Nonetheless great game and visuals.

Oh this gonna be fun to watch!
I with ya, man. 1080p/60fps > split screen all day.

You also left out the part how people sharing a splitscreen playing MP are usually terrible compared to everybody else. Not always, but certainly most of the time.

Might be the junky hardware of the Xbone. I hate this thing in comparison to my PS4. At least they finally fixed that sorry mess of a UI.

Hopefully by the time Halo 6 has come out the engine will be optimized enough to give split-screen a stable frame-rate.

The only thing i miss from having split screen is killing enemy’s guests who barely know how to grab a controller.

I’d rather have the choice to play a low quality version of splitscreen when I want to then never be able to at all. Splitscreen would have added a lot to this game IMO.
