umm alright, but there are still spartan II’s and III’s alive just to give you a heads up John is not the last one left.
I would be fine to see more Spartans than John (provided it fits in with the storyline.)
You have to realise that there is more to Halo than just the masterchief, I mean not liking ODST for the soul reason that it had nothing to do with him sounds silly to me.
I suggest going onto waypoint on your Xbox and watching some of the backstory videos there.

That being said, I would like to see MC as the one lone spartan. You know, like in halo 3 those marines were like amazed when they saw him…because he was like the only one left known to man. He was like a legend.
But adding other spartans makes him seem a little less important.

Ever heard of Linda or Kelly? Fred? They are (in my book) equal to or greater than the badassery seen in Master Chief. It would be awesome to have them in a future Halo title.

They were amazed because of the things he did. Even tho there are more spartans out there MC is the most bad -Yoink-. I have read some of the books and i think Bungie did and 343 is doing an awesome job with the story. Keep it up you guys

Even if people knew there was other spartans, they would be amazed, as most of the troops never seen a spartan. Go read the books sir.

Anyway, OP, there are a few Spartan IIs, some Spartan IIIs, and a whole new generation of Spartans called the Spartan IVs. So, there will probably be more than one Spartan in the Reclaimer Trilogy.

You, my friend will probably end up breaking your disc. Linda Kelly and Fred are still alive. And plus Lucy, and Ash ( I have not finished ghost of onyx yet) and from what I hear, the Glasslands book gives insight to a whole new generation of spartans; the Spartan four program. Yup.
It would be great to see other spartans after having read a couple of the books and since 343 have mentioned that it will cover some of the background information regarding John and since their most likely not going to talk about how before he was 6 he was a normal boy who was just smart and strong you would expect the background information to have lots to do with the other spartans and besides it would be great to find out that like Linda for instance somehow got off the pillar of autumn and survived some how so adding other spartans wouldn’t kill it for me because I quite frankly loved ODST and Reach ( They were the only ones my cousin would lend me to complete solo) but I have passed the other games so the idea of the spartans trapped on onyx escaping or something because i haven’t read it yet would be cool
As well as all them Spartans that are alive, in the time 117 has been in sleep mode they could have started a new Spartan programme, just a thought that slipped my mind…

Dude, Bungie isn’t in charge of Halo any more, so guess what. THERE WILL BE OTHER SPARTANS, period, end of story. If you don’t want there to be other spartans just because you haven’t read the books, and don’t plan to, guess what, the rest of us who read the Halo books would be very pissed if the games keep with Bungie’s “The game is cannon, the Novels are not” game plan. 343i has stated that they will tie both the story lines in the games, and the books together, to keep one big story ark. If you don’t want to read the books good for you, just enjoy the story that 343i gives you, or don’t play the campaign.
