anybody else noticed that theres no trailer for Episode 6 of Spartan Ops?
Normally they are up by Friday and its not up yet. Are we even getting Episode 6 this Monday?

this in my opinion is -Yoink!- i want Spartan Ops, at first i thought Spartan Ops was a good idea and was a change to Firefight but if there gonna cut Spartan Ops off like this for some comp then i want Firefight back!!!

I thought the whole mid season break has been known since episode 5 came out…
well clearly not everybody got the memo that they were cutting it for mid season because me nor any of my friends know about it!

The mid season break has been public knowledge since the day halo 4 came out. It was stated in the strategy guide that the second set of five episodes, concluding the first season of SpOps will continue in January.
I don’t know why everyone is going mental now.

and How were most people to know if they didn’t get the strategy guide then if it didn’t get onto the internet hardly nobody would have known. luckily they added a bulletin about it the week it cuts off.

I didn’t get the guide, but I knew… It’s been all over the net since release. They are doing it so that tweaks can be made, and new locations can be used (we’ll need to download the rest of the eps upon release, unless they piggyback the crimson map pack)

Spartan Ops will go on a mid-season break starting December 10. Fret not, though, because your entire Spartan Ops timeline will still be both accessible and playable. On top of that, we will also be featuring a Best of Spartan Ops compilation next week, made up of the following chapters:
• Core – Chapter 5 of Episode 1
• Hacksaw – Chapter 3 of Episode 2
• Shootout in Valhalla – Chapter 4 of Episode 3
• The Didact’s Gift – Chapter 5 of Episode 4
• Spartan Miller – Chapter 1 of Episode 5
Then, from December 17 – January 14, episodes 1-5 will be re-entered into Matchmaking (one episode per week) to support the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge, and allow anyone who missed the first run or wants to replay a previous chapter to easily find teammates online.
The second half of Spartan Ops Season 1 will resume later in January with brand new episodes, chapters, locations and maps (as discussed in our recent Spartan Ops developer interview).

If i win the face thing can my character just make a weird face in the background for the whole two minutes like im photobombing?
I’m just finding out about this now and it’s pretty BS IMO. I’ll change my mind though if 343 takes this downtime to release a matchmaking update to allow us to choose any of the missions from any episode, rather than being locked into the most recent episode. That’s about my only complaint, otherwise I love Spartan Ops.
Also does anyone know if 343 will charge for subsequent seasons?

I wouldn’t put it past them, but my guess is that they’d only do that if the new season utilized DLC or had exclusive DLC of it’s own. And in the case of the former it would probably just require you have the map packs. Extra fees probably wouldn’t do so well with a gametype with only a few thousand people playing it at any one time or another.
