I’ve been unable to solve this problem. I’ve looked at online answers and they’ve not done the trick. I’ve recently started having zero sound during Halo 3 gameplay on MCC on PC, be in campaign or multiplayer (edited to include that I still have sound on the MCC menu even in Halo 3, like the clicking/technological sounds in the MCC pause menu). On other Halo games like Reach or 4 I have sound. It wasn’t an issue until the recent steam update, so has anyone experienced something similar, and if so, has anyone solved said problem on PC?
OK lets try this:
- Go to sound.
- Goto payback
- Make sure the sound device in the list is selected.
- Then boot up the game
- Goto settings
- Goto Audio
- Make sure the sound device you are using is selected.
Now if that does not work if you have the steam version then do this:
- Goto steam
- Goto Library
- Right click on Halo Icon
- Goto Properties
- Select Local FIles
- Verify game files
Then go see if you gave sound in the game. Hope that helps Good Luck
If that does now work then go download your audio drivers from your motherboard MFG. and re-install your audio drivers.

Uh… sound system I see is RealTek? Or Radeon? Not fully sure sorry, too used to either Xbox or laptop.
