I’ve seen one or two people in these forums say that the SMG has been confirmed not in Halo 4… I haven’t heard this… anyone have a link?
Yeah, but it’s supposedly the inspiration for the Assault Carbine and is said to be more of a finishing weapon.

Yeah, that’s something that people are getting rather confused about. The word Carbine makes the community instantly think of the Covenant rifle from Halo 2 and 3. This seems to be relating to the type of rifle it is.
It could be anyone of these existing and established Halo weapons Carbine | Halo Alpha | Fandom
or a new one
