When I heard that skulls were removed, replaced by something else, I was very sad. I will miss the days where grunts exploded in a cloud of confetti when shot. Why 343, why. I really think 343 should reconsider this. For the mythic/LASO players I’m sure that they aren’t too pleased about this either. Discuss.

Why then did you not bother to understand that the function is the same, just the object may not be a skull?
I think you’ve been misinformed. If they had confirmed that, I can guarantee more people would be talking about it. Why would they take out Skulls? They’ve had them since Halo 2, and even added them to Anniversary. There’s no way they’re removing Skulls from Halo 4.

It’s kind of like the whole Firefight being taken out. It was replaced by something bigger and better: Spartan Ops.
I’m sure the replacement for skulls will be satisfying.

One of the worst things in Reach was the lack of skulls. Yeah there were data pads, but they just weren’t the same as hunting for skulls.
Thanks OP for giving me a Heart attack…but even if it is just getting replaced by another object, it will probably be just as satisfying.
I hope they just changing the aesthetic design of the collectibles, and that these new items you collect will have optional effects on the gameplay.
I liked my skulls, If they are gone I will miss them… But hopefully they keep the Bday skull or something similar 
cause that made for some fun times.
You sure your not confusing your source with Halo Reach, because there was no skulls in Reach and I remember hearing that they would be replaced by something similar (Data Pads).
I have never heard anything regarding skulls in Halo 4.
