I know this Halo takes place a year after Halo 5. But when they said they wanted to revive the Halo legacy and focus on Chief, I hope they didnt just cut off every other character in the previous games to make room for all these new characters. Its like pulling another Jul’Mdama first mission on us…

Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Tanaka’s voice actress, has also hinted that she will be returning! I know saying “maybe… 
” isn’t 100% confirmation, but I think there’s a good chance we’re going to see her.
I think it is simply a case of 343i not wanting to tease too much. The main focuses of the trailers has been campaign-oriented and obviously Master Chief is the main man we know and love, it makes sense to mainly portray him and any other vital characters to the story.
I imagine Buck and Alpha-Nine may have a reference or minor appearance at some point. Locke is probably going to be killed during the campaign or we find out he sacrifices himself prior to Master Chief’s awakening.

Killing off the members of Fireteam Osiris would be monumentally lazy and a sign of piss poor storytelling. There is no good reason to do so. If you legitimately care about the story, you should sugggest 343 give characters like Locke, Tanaka, Vale, and Buck something to do and improve them.
I always shake my head at things like this, especially when the Arbiter is brought up as a fan favorite. Had fans had their way with H2 he’d probably have been killed off. But instead, and it’s almost crazy that such a thing would work, the Arbiter was kept around and his story continued and gasp improved over time. Imagine letting characters grow.
Halo Infinite is a continue’s the story of Halo 5. Of course we will know more about them.

I hope we see more characters. I mean what happaned to Blue Team? Or Osiris? I liked Locke and I love Buck. I hope a tleast Buck return. Lasky, Palmer, Halsey, Arbiter… they essential characters of the new Reclaimer trilogy. I ge -Yoink!- 343 want to concentrate to Chief, since Halo 5.

I was being facetious really, but I am not a fan of any of the Osiris members (except for Buck but I can take him or leave him). It wouldn’t bother me if they were written out of the story.

I’d care and I’d actually rather see characters grow and develop rather than have a revolving door of constant new characters because fans keep asking for characters they don’t immediately like to be killed off.
Infinity is a huge intersection of past games in the series. Infinity Oni an Spirit of Fire maybe in game. The Banished Forerunners an Flood maybe the main antagonists. Spartan 4s an Odst teams might be spread out all over the place an the created ark continues as we have already been introduced to several new characters.
They will definitely all return and be present in some capacity.
Hard to imagine The Infinity not being there - which means Lasky and Co are going to be there.
Lasky and Palmer got what? Five minutes of screentime in H5? We can at least expect that again from Infinite.

Would be nice to see the Spirit of Fire make an appearance.
I know as much you do so this is just my guess, but I’d assume some of the more integral characters (Lasky, Halsey, Arbiter) will at least make appearances in the initial campaign. However, I also think they’re really trying to focus on Chief so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a relatively small cast.
Personally I’d love it if they took some of the more secondary characters like Blue Team, Osiris, and even Red Team and the Spirit of Fire crew and gave them their own campaign DLCs. Seems like a much better way of developing them into their own characters instead of trying to mash them all into Chief’s story.
Hopefully they have not killed any character, be it from Halo 4 and Halo 5, they deserve to have their evolution as a character and if they die, have a worthy end in the game with the attention they deserve.
I really loved everyone on Osiris except for … I can’t even remember his name right now *googles it… Locke, lol. His character was just so flat.

Keith David,Arbiter’s voice actor also kind of hinted he will return when asked.

If you don’t actually pay attention, I guess I can see that.
I think we could see characters like Arbiter, Sarah Palmer, Thomas Lasky, Blue Team and Roland coming back in the upcoming Halo Infinite. At the same time, I also think that 343 Industries want to keep their return as a surprise. The reason why I am saying this is because they don’t want to show too much in the next trailers or gameplay footage.
