So im going to keep this short and simple , the sheilds dont recharge while sprinting in matchmaking, for balance reasons but as far as the rest of the game like campaign i think that feature should not be in there since its just the campaign anyway theres no balannce needed.
And get into bad habits? Nah, keep it the same.
I would like every feature in multiplayer to stay in campaign or vice versa. I always play the campaign in legendary solo first so I’m ready to jump into multiplayer, I wouldn’t like big differences between both. But I wouldn’t care If playing in easy or normal the shields would recharge anyway.
The campaign does require balancing. If you make it too easy, the masochistic LASO runners will throw fits.
The gameplay features should be prevalent across all areas of Halo (except for customs)
I just do not see the big deal of shields recharging in campaign for me it does not confuse me if i were to switch between campaign and matchmaking since its not a major diifference in change it would be kinda weird if that feature confuses you when your playing matchmaking and switch to campaign i mean the characters in campaign re easier to kill then a real life person you can snipe the and ha;f the time they just take it the enemy rarely runs for cover. And the LASO would be no different if sheilds recharged while sprinting because they wont seeing as how theres a skull that prevents our sheilds from recharging unless you melee anyway.
So to me its not a big deal i do not see the point in complaining over that being as its not a majr dramatic change sufficient enough to confuse me im not that feeble minded, to be confused by simple functions, now if the control changed all together then yea that could get a slight bit confusing, but then when i switch between MK X Halo MCC and advance warfare i seem to automatically know what buttons do what, on occasion i have to look at the button guide but that is mainly for MK X but thats just when i switch between characters.
So to me its not a huge deal i can adapt to small changes like the very easily. if on thing i have been very good at when it comes to video game sis adapting to the changes that happen on the fly.

Defensive much?
> i mean the characters in campaign re easier to kill then a real life person
If killing players in matchmaking is so much harder than killing AI then why do we need to make campaign easier with recharging shields during sprint?
I’m with everyone else on this one. I don’t see the point in changing spartan abilities from mm to campaign.

And what about having a toggle option to have the shields recharge or not recharge that way the choice is left to the gamer so if by chance they get easily confused they only have themselves to blame and not cop out to the usual its the games fault. honestly having the option to do this and not that in campaign is nice we don’t need to be always restricted because one person thinks it isn’t right to be more free in campaign. yea some people play for the LASO thing but for those who don’t play campaign for the challenge but for the story and for fun the option to let the shields recharge while sprinting in campaign would be an awesome feature that doesn’t have people confirm to only one style of play.
It wont affect your game play if I’m playing by myself and choose to have the shield recharge while i sprint. and if your worried that people will use it to fly through levels for some Achievement then perhaps it can be in someones service record that they used that option if that small meaninglessness thing truly carries some meaning to you.
I would like the option to have a choice to have the shields recharge in campaign when i sprint because i don’t get confused if things are all not the same through the entire game, so why should i be be punished because another gamer cant think before he jumps into matchmaking and go oh yea my shields don’t recharge. s
So let me say this another way we should have the choice to toggle it for those of us gamer’s who don’t get all kinds of lost when we go from campaign to matchmaking with the concept of shields recharging, or if you like uniformity through your game you have the option to choose that route.
The halo Community has this very close minded set, they don’t like diversity or others having an option to play the game the way they want to. A simple extra option that ask do you want your shields to recharge or not to recharge when sprint is activated wont hurt your game play since it will be your choice in the end if you don’t like it you can simply back out of the campaign and toggle it off, or even better toggle it off while playing the game no need to back out. that way the side that favors recharging shields while sprinting can be happy and the ones who dont want that can also be happy because they can both play the way they want too.

I re-posted on how i think it should be an option, see for me it would get old if I’m sprinting and my shield doesn’t recharge in campaign. So to me having the option to toggle that in campaign would be nice not saying its necessary that’s not at all what I’m getting at I’m simply saying it would be a nice feature that would not restrict people like me to play only one style. to me i like having options that way if i do want to add more of a challenge i can toggle the feature to that way, and for days when i just want to blow through a campaign for -Yoink- and giggles i can switch to that way, and with this option people can play the way they prefer.
This honestly is not that big of a deal i mean if its not implemented then oh well i just get over it once I’m sniping a grunt and i hear YEY!!! as his head burst into confetti(Best Skull Ever) But the here’s what the counter arguments are.
It will confuse me to not have it the same
Well to those of us who it wont confuse we can have the option to toggle it and you can stick with not using that option now both are good.
The LASO kids will riot
Isn’t there a Skull that prevents shield recharge unless you melee, if not there’s still the option to not use that toggle feature right. again LASO kids can have it there way while the others have it there way too.
Features should be prevalent across all Halo except customs
Well what about people who don’t care for this and would like the option to toggle the shield recharge when sprinting, having that option doesnt take away from those who like tings being the same across board because they can play in there way too the two ways wont cross paths or interrupt each other. It is basically saying you play your way ill play my way and no one gets hurt. I dont see how you would care if other people play a differeent way in campaign i mean its campaign we get to play how we want to in that mode matchmaking i see the point for balance since the entire thing is based of of players actions for the experience where as campaign is one of those you shouldnt care how another person is play there campaign mode it doesnt affect yours.

That seems way too complicated and would probably cause a lot of issues if you could toggle that off and on outside of the single player campaign. Multiplayer would be a mess for reasons I don’t need to explain.
Best to just keep it simple and leave it as is across all gametypes.

Ok, but where does it end? There are tons of people with unique ideas they’d like to have toggable. Should we expect 343 to grant all these wishes? And then make it so their service record lists all the toggled options? This sounds like a lot of work for 343. Personally, I’d rather have them focus on just making a game and not trying to satisfy everyone that comes up with some small suggestion that would only please a handful of players.
Nothing wrong with making suggestions but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
This not some plead to change the game Mechanics its just an idea i had figured it be cool to get it out to the community. and hey one of you even said if you played it on a lower difficulty like normal or easy it would be cool and that sounds good too usually when i play to blow through the campaign for fun i put it on easy anyhow. all im saying is perhaps giving the gamer more then one linear route to take would be nice let the gamer choose there path rather then forcing to play there campaign just like everyone else with no choice to change things up.

Or like you said it would get complicated in multiplayer so just keep in single player its like you gjuys dont see the other options and go straight back no just don’t change it at all , you seriously gave your self a solution to your problem in your answer when you said outside of single player so keep it on signle player then, theres the solution to your problem.

Im not and like i implied its not a game breaker for me, its just something that could be seen added in if its in the budget and schedule parameters. im just excited to use the new abilities to see how many different ways i can approach a situation. i mean now if i see a big group of bad guys i dont have to stik to the two options of sshoot from aafar or go in head on i can clamber and stomp the crap out of them and use the other abilities to become the best spartan and most lethal spartan ever.

And then make it so their service record lists all the toggled options? This sounds like a lot of work for 343. Personally, I’d rather have them focus on just making a game and not trying to satisfy everyone that comes up with some small suggestion that would only please a handful of players.

Yea i dont always want to just have that option like i said im looking forward to the adapting veriety of options it will be fun to play aorund and see how many different posiblities i ca come up with.
The way you implement a feature is always more important than the feature itself. No shield recharge while sprinting makes sprint in Halo something unique. I prefer the idea of benefits and tradeoffs.
