Oh, that’s way easier to use than simply going to someone’s file share. What was I thinking…
I guess searching though a sea of someone’s endless screenshots from hundreds of other games to find one screenshot from a year ago beats just simply going to their file share in-game.
Just like that another feature was gimped for no reason. Screenshots with the dvr do not equal to screenshots from theater. You can’t get scenery or your whole fire team, just your HUD view!

You can still use theater the same, just use the Xbox’s screenshot feature. Detach the camera, fly it around, do your thing. See, look, I used it right here.

You can by pressing Y, and remove everything else with B, I think. You can still do everything, but through a sea of settings, if you’re like me and sold your Kinect.

Yes but that does not necessitate removing a fundamental feature of theater. While your screenshot looks like ones from past games, it is simply not efficient to use the dvr system and is a nuisance. A working theater and file share are much better.
Also, there is no campaign theater which is a shame.
