Was we supposed to receive rewards for ranking in playlists between Halo 5 Release date and the 16th of december or whenever it was they reset the ranks for the new season?
or are they classing this new season as the first season…
cuz i looked and dont seem to have received any rewards… and did think we would receive rewards after this reset
Also if a pack with an emblem is all you give as a reward, its pretty disappointing…
i expected a much more in depth reward system changing rewards depending on your division ranking… but yeah disappointing
No news article said anything about getting a reward for playing in the pre-season. The news articles have repeatedly referred to the time before the Cartographer’s Gift as the pre-season. They also said that competing in the first season, which started after the Cartographer’s Gift, would result in a participation reward. Until they iron out how ranks are determined I don’t think that division-dependent rewards are a wise idea. Everyone and their cousin got Onyx in FFA at the end of the pre-season. Unless your aim was for champion in something then it was the highest rank you could achieve very easily.

why do people expect nothing for their troubles? you spend hours playing this game trying to win so that at the end of the month they reset your rank and you get next to nothing but a middle finger for wasting your time… if they kept the ranks all round like league or halo 3, rewards wouldnt bother me…
but i refuse to play a game for hours so that at the end of the month my hard work has been reset and i have to do it all over again for the process to be repeated…

I actually agree and thats why I stoppped caring about ranks after they reset my ranks

No, its just that 343 said that there would be season rewards, and the OP was just wondering whether they had missed out or that there weren’t meant season rewards for pre-season
There isn’t any reward for the pre-season, the rewards are for placing in the seasons now, so if you place in any playlist you should get a reward in February when Season 1 ends.

fair enough. its just that i am like 95% sure that when the game was released and they said they would reset ranks some time in december that rewards would be given out then… but they weren’t… that was one of the points i was making.

yes, exactly… and i ranked in all but one playlist between release and the reset in december… not even the emblem reward.

thanks for the input. i understand ranks where all over the shop and i get that rankings werent legit, but 2 months of playing online in ‘ranked playlists’ is now no longer viewable unless on this site…? and nothing in game to show you completed pre season… i just think its disappointing.
not to mention all they will give is an emblem. this game is like the FPS version of Hearthstone apart from theres more reason to want to collect things in hearthstone as opposed to 80% of the reqs… on this game…
just disappointing…
