Thanks to the continued prioritization of the US servers playing Arena anywhere else is just asking to get annihilated. When you are playing in elos like Diamond and Onyx, even the slightest advantage in “who gets the first shot” can decide the whole game.
While you are playing with 120+ms against people who have latency of 20-50 instead, tell me how are you supposed actually stand a chance? Yes you can win games, but straight up 1v1’s are automatically hugely in favour for the American player instead players in other regions.
Bring back region lock ASAP, in such a competitive game such as this connection is numero uno. ALWAYS.

exactly! It fails on the first criteria, fair play via stable connection.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s impossible to take Arena seriously as a serious competitive game under these conditions. It’s a bad joke and 343i are the comedians on stage.

343 creates H5 competitiveness in mind, disables region lock. Please
Arena is so laggy that people teleport around maps.
Sounds pretty selfish to want players in places like Australia to not get put in matches due to region lock just so you can have the most perfect connection.
playing arena all the time almost without any latency and I’m from middle europe
-Yoink- playing arena until it is corrected. It seems illogical but warzone lags less. There are more players, bigger maps and AI enemies (and friendlies) but there is less teleporting and rubberbanding. Better servers for the real money spinner in the game? It’s what I’d do.

You have said that just right!! There is no way one can stand up against players that have 20-50ms ping. I use to ping at around 23ms. Not any more! The flood gates are open and I play all over with no control over it. Its horrible and 343 should be flippin embarrassed as heck… What a joke! And yet there is still no communication from them on here at all… Oh yah they did have a community update saying something very vague about a possible update in May… but that was pathetic. They need to communicate here better even if its just letting us know there working on it or what not… Absolutely crazy!! :-/

So basically allowing American players to continuously have an advantage in every single game they play is better? I’d rather have region lock and allow players from all around the world to play games in an even playing field.
I’m in Texas and have connection issues since the update. It’s not all horrible America they have an advantage…

To be honest my friend I think why you guys still have the region lock in place is because 343 knows what a mess it is if they were to take it off. Id gladly give you my connection to play. But im here to tell you its no fun like this! But to make it fair they should at least give us a choice to select a server. I can understand why your mad and not even being able to play… That’s horrible as well. I feel for you Aussie players. This whole thing is messed up to be honest.
Funny how everyone used to want it removed and when they did, everyone started complaining again.
Besides, connection quality is a two way street.

That’s funny, because every time I face a team of Mexicans, I lag like crazy and my team gets destroyed.
I have beat Champions that are on American Servers (Im uk) so you must just be bad and need an excuse

Not every American has perfect Internet either btw. I’d kill for 20-50 ms like OP said. Prioritize connection and then widen matchmaking though if nothing is found however. Region lock is still not necessary.

EU != UK only

its sad that they dont have a community, but shouldn’t force the rest to play laggy game. We happen to have a community here in EU.
they have to play the times that there is games to get, and start building a halo community.

you arent playing without latency. You have a big disadvantage compared to US players if you notice it or not. Playing without it is not an option, cant happen. You arein EU and they are in US. Simple psysics.

Went through your recent games and noticed that while you were very positive playing against other EU people you were mostly negative playing US enemies.
So even though you say that you don’t have a problem, it’s right in your recent games history.
