I have Halo Reach and on the cover of the box it says it comes with the recon helmet. I open the box and find nothing. Where is the code? If there is none, is there a way I can get one? Thanks.

You can get the Helmet after like 5 or 6 levels >.>
If you have bought the game pre owned, it is more than likely that the previous owner who bought the game at launch has already used the DLC code. But don’t worry, the Recon helmet and armour are unlocked as your rank up in the game so you can still use it.

Well I supposedly bought my Reach “new” at GameStop. Did I get cheated out of it? Are they selling used games as “new”? I’ll tell you, just another thing why I don’t go to GameStop anymore.

I think you got cheated, GameStop sometimes takes out DLC and keeps it (or so I’ve heard). It all depends on the manager, and it sounds like the manager at your store sucks at his/her job.

I’ve heard many a story of it happening…plus there’s the possibility they lied about it being brand new, and It’s a used copy that they resealed(which has been recorded happening before.)
I don’t know if you can get it back, they’d probably ask for proof of it not coming or something.
On the bright side: the codes range from $8-20 US on the internet.
On the down side: you had to make this post in the first place.

There’s no harm in taking it back in and saying you opened up the case and there was no code inside. Ask if they could just give you one. It’s easy enough. Failing that, like everyone else is saying, you apparently get given it in game anyway after a few levels.

The final tier is only available through the DLC code.

More than just sometimes; in fact, it’s extremely common. GameStop has some of the shadiest business practices around. Never do business with them if you have any other alternative.

Agreed.
I’ve only ever bought one game from GameStop, and it was when I was a kid.
The result pretty much ruined the odds of me ever buying anything from GameStop ever again.
It was Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, it was supposed to replace the one the Xbox ate(gen 1 360s, man…).
It was supposed to be “Brand New”. When the package was dropped off at our house, I opened it as hastily as only a child could…but then, that’s when the image shattered…There was this blue-ish fuzz everywhere inside the box, and the disc was scratched worse than my old copy…
Needless to say, me no gusta GameStop.
