No reason to win games

I agree. Every now and then even I forget about the objective because “Oh I gotta get a headshot immediately after getting damage with a grenade.” and end up becoming a burden. I hope they fix it.

I agree with the OP, I hate the objective focused events. I feel bad for my team as I have spend the last 5 matches trying to get kills with a disruptor pistol, the problem is that is a utility pistol, it is good at disabling vehicles not killing players, so I am being useless not even using a tool for its actual use.

I have a post about the great problem of the battle pass progression, it counts all the wrong stuff it have

Lmao, when did all of you forget that you’re playing a game to have fun and not get rewarded. The entire leveling systems in game has turned games into jobs and not games. Its silly. I’m glad there’s no real levels in this game.

As for other people. I think right now, because it’s free to play, we have a bunch of people who don’t know how to play but it will calm down once they all leave. All the COD and BF people are on halo right now cuz their game launches sucked.

Its like this even with a progression system. Most ppl in objective based games ignore the objective, are oblivious to the objective or really just don’t care. It’s annoying but I see it in every FPS game until you start hitting higher ranks and even then…

Yep we could already see it in the flights too. People care more about completing a challenge doing something specific than trying to win a game. All addicted to that spartan dress up. And while the progression does suck, it’s clear people don’t care about winning in general. In other games just to get people to play ranked - other games have to give out skins for achieving a certain division. Absolutely pathetic.

Fortnite at least give you credits in the battle pass and your your xp are based in how well you played ion the game, no the fact that the only way to level up is complete challenge, that’s the big mistake of Infinite multiplayer

I feel like a mixed progression is the best.

Regular progression like previous Halo games or even medal based + challenges like the ones we have now.

The only thing I would change about challenges is to somehow tie them to the playlists rather than making them only daily so that objective based playlists have specific challenges forcing players to focus on the actual objectives rather than just kills.

The progression system is to blame for this. The challenges reward toxic teammates who go on their own and do their own thing to get their BP items. I have no idea why selfish, individualism is pushed so hard in a team game. Why not reward good teamwork and winning?

Because they want to monetize in all way, giving you a bad system progression, this type of insults will be in result of the dead of the game

I agree, need increased reward system for the W.

I mean…people ignoring objectives and running to get kills is basically standard for any shooter. The challenges don’t help, sure, but most people just do their own thing in this style of game. At least in Comp you generally get people who are serious about winning/playing. QP is a mess, though.

Well I had a ctfap today that was me playing objective and the others doing their challenges.
It was an ill conceived system imo but that are investigating so hopefully they build progression around cooperative play. For the future.
Become hope guys.

Yes QP is a disaster as it stands now.

To me a reward for winning is winning yes the pass stuff is dumb. I just injoy playing and getting better I don’t need a the game to tell me “you get stuff have fun now”

woop de do… ain’t that boring though? like there’s no point to keep winning. if i wanted to do that, i’d go to TF2 where the whole point is to either win or mess around. Halo isn’t just about the W, it’s about progression, earning rewards for YOUR spartan. Ya know, like 3 and Reach. Back when achievements were worthwhile, and playing the game offered something in return other than a PNG saying ‘you win’

According to IGN its being assessed right now.
