No ray tracing in Infinite?
The game is due to have ray tracing yes.

At launch?
Hasn’t been confirmed to have it at launch or not.

Not sure anyone knows tbh. They stated ray tracing would be added after the original launch date, as in last year. With the year delay it could easily be there day one and also not imo.
Ray tracing illumination would look so cool with Halo. I hope they do add it, though not a priority IMO.

I agree. It should be added to better the experience of the user. I’ve had the Series X since launch and until DOOM Eternal’s ray tracing update I was pretty undecided as to whether it could make a big difference to me. Boy was I wrong, DOOM Eternal with ray tracing is very good.
If 343i can enhance my Halo Infinite experience in a similar way with ray tracing I’m all for it.
The only obstacle I see to it’s exclusion at launch is priorities. We know they’ve had to drop campaign co-op and forge for the release, ray tracing may be the same. However, if it is dropped for release I’m sure the wait will be worth if DOOM Eternal is anything to go by.
All good things com to those who wait right?
i mean sure it a be nice for campaign, dont see me using it for mp tbh, it kills frames to much even on a 3000 series. you dont really want that for mp. Campaign however yes, seeing some reflections in the forerunner structures, the blue beams firing from the halo ring illuminating the terrain as it goes up in the sky would be amazing to see.
Still 343i have never said 100% they will add it to the game. All they ever said were we could add it after launch.
I would hope they would optimize the game for PC first before added features that kill frames. If not then it’s going to be double trouble.
I’m just wondering could we have ray tracing & HDR & 4K at same time, still considering to replace my old 1080p 3D TV with a 4K HDR new one…

Not on console as far as I know. DOOM Eternal runs 60fps / 1800p with ray tracing on Series X, it looks very good. Link here. An upgrade might be worth it for you, as you’re going from 1080p to 4K. Only you know if it’s worth it.
