When I got Halo 4 I was excited to see how the new competitive multilayer would work.I went into matchmaking and looked for a competitive playlist but all I saw was Slayer Pro. I played it I found it to be OK, but lacking. The thing though that really disappoints me is the fact there’s no ranked, arena, or True Skill. I have been playing halo for the past 10 years and this is the first time I’ve been truly disappointed with a multi-player decision. Ranked gave me something to do in Halo 3, and Halo 2. After you’ve killed everyone and owned all there was to own, ranked sat there waiting for you to take it to the next level and work with your friends to rank up. With this exp system all your doing is attracting the COD players that will leaver whence COD 43 ,or whatever there on now, comes out in a month. That is all.

Every competitive multiplayer game on Xbox LIVE uses True-Skill. Halo 4 uses True-Skill to match you up with players of similar skill. True-Skill is a very flawed algorithm, but Halo 4 does use it.
