Dear 343,
First congrats on your tech test, it was pretty fun and I think overall it went really well.
Now for the point of this post, what have you done to the radar (0_o)? Only being visible while sprinting is by far the worst thing I have ever seen. I’ve always had my eyes superglued to the radar since I was 6 and playing HCE, seeing what happened to it now is an absolute tragedy. Thankfully there’s still time to stop the key from turning, please consider reverting it back to the way it was in Halo 5.
Thank you for the opportunity to try your game early, I really appreciate it. I’d love to talk about great things you’ve done, I could list them on and on and probably never stop lol, but before I do I have to voice this concern and maybe add some suggestions in the future. I have few criticisms but they hold much weight, this one being my most concerning.
I think it’s a great move, it makes it so people actually have to use their eyes and ears more instead of always relying on the radar as a crutch for situational awareness.

That’s fine, however I disagree. The radar is an integral part of what makes halo play like halo. If you want to rely on your eyes and ears for situational awareness I can point you over to rainbow 6 siege or call of duty hardcore c:.
Plus this is supposed to be a game for current and classic fans. There’s nothing classic about this, if you dislike the radar there’s also MLG playlists I’m sure.
eh, idk how I feel not that ive thought about it. On one hand I get peoples complaints that you cant just play radar, but then again, I also hate the idea that people just play radar. Radar should be an additional source of info and lots of people use it like its the only source. The lack of walking appearing on radar also slows the game down, making sprint less of a focus and more of a tactical choice. Do you spint to get the slide and show on radar or do you not. Also, you could view it as a way to bait people out. Say you bottom mid of live fire with the bulldog (or whatever) and you sprint in small bursts to bait players down to you.
idk, I like it because it adds some layers and overall, slows down players. At the same time though, I get why some people may not like it.

I also dont think thats true. Comp halo has been playing without radar for ages (yes I know comp is not the majority but I think its still something to bring up). This statement makes it seem you dont actively want to use the info the game is giving you unless its served on a platter via radar which I think is unhealthy. From an accessibility standpoint id agree, but saying halo should not be more then playing the radar is pretty silly

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Radar is a crutch. People need to learn some game sense.

I guess you never played the halo 2 hardcore playlists or the halo 3 MLG playlist.

If this is the case then there should just be a playlist without a radar. Like MLG in Halo 3, instead of sabotaging the classic play style of halo.

I edited my comment earlier, and mentioned it. And you’re right, but still MLG is different from classic slayer and should stay that way.

This is a system the Classic Halo MLG community most likely loves. It’s balance between two worlds. It will take time to get used too

You’ve got a point, but as someone that has always played classic slayer with a radar it’s not something I want to get used to. And yeah I can always just boot up MCC, but I’d prefer the weight of my heresy to not stay my feet and be left behind.

I think you’ll like it after getting used to it. Keep in mind we only got a glimpse of the PvP whereas with the bots it made no difference IMO.

Look bro, I hated MLG, I hated not having a radar it’s why I specifically stayed clear of that playlist. This post isn’t just me ranting, literally if they don’t change it I’ll honestly probably never play the multiplayer. I don’t want to get used to it lol, this isn’t green eggs and ham.
Why do People keep on complaining about This its great move. And were all in the Same boat so No advantage for anyone. Learn to look and hear much more fun then an easy Red dot

Good luck man. I’m not seeing this changed because it is at the core of the game.

Then how about we take out hit markers? I mean, if we’re looking to try hard. If I’m truly good why should I have a hit marker tell me a grenade landed hm?
The motion tracker changes are completely unnecessary and makes the game play differently (Read: BAD) If you want a competitive mode, just disable it altogether.

I appreciate it, you’re right, they’ll probably not change it. I just can’t accept it and not say something lol. I wish you infinite great halo infinite games in the future.

> Why do People Rely so heavy on radar and im far from competive or hardcore
I rely on radar because it is and always has been a tool for identifying enemy location. I could stick someone on my same level just by looking at the radar. I can tell how many enemies I’m outnumbered by, and it lead people that were good to crouching to counter this dependence. It’s skillful to use the radar, and to pay attention to surroundings thanks to crouch walking.
